Here's the demos I played today:https://store.steampowered.com/app/2212520/The_Last_Werewolf/https://store.steampowered.com/app/3925340/Incoherence_Dark_Roomshttps://store.steampowered.com/app/4125050/Paradise_Falls/https://store.steampowered.com/app/4169890/5th_ERA/https://store.steampowered.com/app/1765670/Aboard_the_Adventure/Part of being a gamer is demo testing.
I don't get the point in playing demos. Just watch a trailer and check some reviews. It's genuinely more faithful than judging a game based on the first 30 minutes.
>>736265856>https://store.steampowered.com/app/4169890/5th_ERA/Looks fun. Do you just browse by release date?
Man looking at those 10~ review games makes me sadThey probably didn't even get enough money to get that steam publishing fee back lol
>>736266525Yeah, I go through the new queue of steam practically every day though usually just for ones that have demos. If you can't release a demo you probably can't release a game at all so I only bother with ones that have demos to cut things down by like 70%.
>>736266602You need SOME marketing, even if just posting your shit on imageboards until you get banned.Nobody's gonna play your game if they don't know it even exists. Seems incomprehensible to some people.
>>736266080>trusting reviewsgullible >preferring watching over doing cuck
>>736266727Cool. What do you think about the early access releases?
>>736266602Some of the best games I ever played at like 7 reviews. It happens.
>>736267081I can usually pick out which ones are worth supporting and have rarely gotten burned by early access. If it even happened once. The ones in my library that are currently early accessing:Lunar EclipseUndermine 2PalworldBridge Orders OutrimDino TraumaFoxtail
>>736267328>FoxtailReason why I'm against early access, how long it's been marinating in there.
>>736267478yeah well. The ukraine war is a semi-reasonable excuse. It might get finished someday.
>>736267619I imagine developing a game without electricity is quite difficult.
>>736267760>cancer clinicDude overplayed his hand. Now it just looks like bullshit because he doesn't want to work on it anymore.
>>736266080>i don't see the point in thinking for myself
I like these threads, thanks for making them.
>>736265856Aboard the Adventure was a short, solid demo in the style of Indiana Jones or Flight of The Amazon Queen.Incoherence: Dark Rooms was an interesting take on Blue Prince, but as survival horror but no enemies really appeared? Maybe in the full game. Blue Prince can now claim the title of true originality, since people are ripping it off, that makes it a new genre, which some call the drafting genre and others call the floorplan genre. Also they used Canadian money in-game so it's probably Canadians doing it, although not necessarily.
>>736266080Nobody asked, prandeep.
