Sonic is the only video game franchise that delivers CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED(by both critics and fans) film adaptations that blend real cinematic value with what fans want. All the other franchises just create slop to make money without caring about film quality. I wonder how Sonic manages it.

The first two Sonic films are one the same level of mindless children entertainment as the Mario films. Sonic is treated like the retarded kid of the gaming world where anytime he produces anything of moderate quality, it's a watershed moment.

Sonic 3 was genuinely good. I took my kids to watch it and ended up enjoying it just as much as them. Unironically PMSL when the push the button scene played.
