are there any games scarier than Dead Space (2023)?
>>736273265truly mind boggling

Cry of fear scared the shit out of me regularly though it has a reliance on screamers you can find either annoying or charming depending. Lost in vivo’s spooky, it isn’t really talked about on /v/ but I think it’s fantastic. Darkwood’s nights got me so bad I’ve yet to finish it, I really should. Amnesia the bunker was the most consistently tense I’ve probably ever been playing a game, the resource scrounging and manual saving really elevates the feeling of being hunted. PT is an obvious one but it’s not a full game, and I don’t think it could support that level of tension for much longer. Still great for what it is though. Fuck I love horror games
>>736276429>this skeleton walks up to you blade drawn and says "en garde fuckboy"Wwyd?
I had more fun creating dumb weapons with my friends in dead space 3 than I had playing the rest of the series combined.
>>736273265The remake enemies look so goofy.
>>736273265No. /thread
Any game with a gun and enough ammo to kill shit isn't really scary
>>736277204>PT>walking through an empty house couple of timeI wonder what was the point and why people found that scary.
>>736278748>201480% of this board probably played it when they were 10 years old
>>736273265Ecco the Dolphin (1992)
>>736273265Third person over the shoulder camera can't be scary, it just lacks any tools for information control or cinematography.Third person OTS is primarily a concession to how bad console controllers are at 3D and secondarily a way for the studio to commission guro without ending up on a watchlist, some sick fuck paid real money so they could get death animations of low-poly Mario asphyxiating on company dime.
System Shock 2
