I've never been any good at platformers, especially the older ones. I still have yet to even beat Donkey Kong Country.

>>736273905There is inherent lag in a ton of emulators that make 2D platformers literally unplayable for me. Same goes for modern TVs and monitors. I recommend downloading RetroArch and enabling its low latency options such as hard-gpu sync and runahead. It makes a lot of those old games feel much closer to how they would have felt on original hardware

The only game I truly struggled with was the rugrats in paris. I never finished it. Wonky controls, game is too dark, mini games become impossible. I think it ended at the balloon collecting ride game for me. Hours wasted trying.Everything else I eventually figure out the controls, the puzzles, the logic. I guess I'm pretty bad at sonic type games, it just goes too fast
