Which masterpiece do you prefer /v/?
>>736278852/v/, when did you realize Soma is an Anime Protagonist? He's a Transfer Student to a Japanese High-school, that's totally an anime character!
>Aria of Sorrow>masterpieceLOL
I've seen this thread before.
>>736278852Probably SotN but mainly because of the voice acting and Alucard being sick. Aria is probably the more fun game to blast through but I am absolutely not getting that true ending. I did that for SotN though.
>>736278852wish sotn had a modern release, I've yet to play it. I love aria though, it's such a perfect game
I like the one that has originality and cool, mature characters. Not the one that is some faggy highschool boy ripoff game.
Aria because most weapons have different movesets unlike SoTN where only rare weapons have unique movesets.SoTN has was better aesthetics, visuals and music though.
>>736278852Griffith?
silksong mogged both
>>736278852adi shankar faithful adaptations of course!
>>736278852Symphony of the Night and it's not close. Aria is a little above the middle of the pack among the games.
>>736278852I just dislike the art and Jonathan
>>736279289I was about to call you out on your retardism, but I double checked and noticed that in spite of Konami having released more than one Castlevania collection on Steam, SotN is indeed not on Steam. What is up with that? The Castlevania collections are, surprisingly, well made even, yet no SotN?
I prefer Netflix Castlevania
>>736281568
>>736278852I like both equally. Man, I'm just glad Castlevania's not dead.
>>736283284>Castlevania>Not deadAre you talking about the upcoming one, made by the French studio which also made Dead Cells? If so I vehemently disagree, it's very dead. Are you talking about Bloodstained? If so, I can at least respect your opinion.
SOTN overall. Fighting inputs for magic casting give you way more options at a time than bullet souls where you can only have 3 at a time. Especially paired with Alucard transformations too. SOTN had a batshit amount of insane gear. Aria is not bad in this aspect too but there's nothing as cool as shield rod in there.Aesthetics, music, location design, boss design are all better in SOTN too.
>>736278852harmony of despair
>>736283481The French game isn't the only one we're getting, another one was leaked before that by the same leaker who leaked Metal Gear and Silent Hill.
>>736278852Cotm. Sotn and Aos are shit.
>>736281372The art is unfortunate, but it's still my favorite Igavania
>>736283604>>736281372>no jump kickI wanted to like it but it's just not possible.
>>736283576Oh, neat. I did not know that, thank you.
>>736283639No problem, Konami said more projects were coming, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
That would be Rondo of Blood
>>736283604Agreed. I might also add that the level design can be a bit simple, and bosses are often too easy. Other than that I love it. Also easily one of my favourite Castlevania OSTs, and Yuzu Koshiro is, at least in part, to thank for that, because of amazing contributions such as:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HV3EJjxMKeI
>>736283624Fair lol
>>736283727Excellent trackAlso, the first 6 seconds of Invitation of a Crazed Moon sounds very Streets of Rage:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0HVTx0gVho
>>736283576Chance of at least one classivanias?
>>736278852>masterpiece>unbalanced uncslop with pointless rpg mechanics and recycled second halflol lmao
>>736283983but enough about your favorite game
>>736278852Symphony of the Night.I love the voice acting.
>first castlemania ever vs worst castlemania ever
Honestly I love Aria of Sorrow too much. I got kinda tired of SotN but I replayed all of these games to death. Also Aria of Sorrow has an excellent romhack, Aria of Sorrow ALTER.
>>736283930Very much so. Easily the most underrated composer in video games, in my opinion. Sure, lots of people my age know about him but I feel that he pretty much never gets mentioned in any "normie" circles.
>>736283950Pretty high since they're not expensive to produce since we have games like Haunted Castle: Revisited and Bloodstained's Curse of the Moon games.
>>736284225Underrated?He's practically a plagiarist.
>>736284259>Bloodstained's Curse of the Moon games. Are they going to make more of 'em? I know they are going to continue with the Igavania with Scarlet Engagements, but it would be nice if they did a take on Rondo of Blood.
>>736278852Haven't played either desu, I've worked my way slowly through non NES Vania games over the years, only other one I've really put my time into is Rondo of Blood and I think its probably the best traditional game in the series by a long shot.
>>736284316>"Uhhh, actually I've heard a 10 second part in a track from another artist that sounds vaguely similar so that's plagiarism!"By that definition Koji Kondo is probably also a plagiaristYou want actual genuine plagiarism? Listen to these:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWXGCKnT52Ehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RihCkopGGQs
>>736284608He's done practically the same exact shit you just linked with several streets of rage tracks
>>736284654Lmao, stop being so disingenuous, the Sylphia track is basically 99% copied. No Streets of Rage track is like that. At most a SoR track will have a similar part, but never the entire track
>>736284438I'm pretty sure they will, both Curse of the Moon games sold well with the first one selling over 500k.
sex with charlotte
sex with shanoa
>>736285683no she's a hag, gross
>>736278852AoS
being a gba game ruins aria imothe color palette is atrocious and the audio too compressed. Sotn heavily mogs it on that aspect. The soul system is superior tho
