Current Gen games that interest me>Death Stranding 2Looks alright, but also like more of the first one, and the first one was just "fine">Marathon (2026)I actually like the art a lot. But I also liked Cruelty Squad. Hated Destiny though. Played most of 1 and a bit of 2. Like Halo and old pre-Halo Bungie games and the Marathon reboot seems to be more in the ballpark of what I'd hope for from Bungie, but ... there's so many caveats with this game and it only manages to be "somewhat interesting" to me because of them. I'm not dying to play it. >Ace Combat 8I'm super skeptical. The trailer was so story focused and not in a good way. There wasn't really a cool story hook, they re-used gameplay assets from Ace 7 for the few seconds of gameplay they had, and it was most interested in showing off detailed character models and facial animations. Ace 8 has the most potential to be something I'd love of what I've listed so far, but I'm not 100% confident. It's probably going to be great, but I'm not jumping to upgrade my hardware. >Pokiman Wi WaI'm not buying a Switch 2 for one game. And that's ... the 4 games I'm kinda interested in. I play a lot of indie games and middleware stuff that doesn't end up on my grid, because it doesn't surpass my favorites, but honestly I'm very pessimistic about the state of games.

As a gamer I'd be more interested in companies making cheap, quick, consistently fun formulaic games once every one or two years than these big blowout hyperrealistic turbo grafiscs sprawling open world cinematic story games with dark souls inspired combat that take 10 years to make.
