It is, of course, mechanically simpler than RTS, but I don't think that makes it wholly inferior. Roblox actually has a wealth of TDs that are all variations on a theme if you want to explore different approaches. The primary tension in TD comes from a mix of less intense waves and then abruptly intense waves, which check to see if you've been managing your eco efficiently or not.
