How do we save the Sonic series?
By making the character models more serious looking, bring back Shiro Maekawa, not Ian Flynn to write it, and make it shonen as fuck again.
create sonic adventure 3, the game should have the same artstyle as the adventure games, the same game mechanics as the adventure games ,use models that look like the adventure games, hire the voice actors from the adventure games, have a completely japanese team of game devs (preferably the ones that worked on the adventure games), and sonic is unironically saved.

Unironically that game is so much fun, there's nothing I love more in games than using momentum to launch myself across a level, and having fun, cool looking and interesting combat as well can only be a bonus. Of course if they bring back kellin Quinn to do songs for the boss fights just like the first frontiers that'd be great cause they killed it, but crush 40 needs to make an appearance as well.
