How come there aren't any games from the alien's perspective and humans are the big bad?

Harder to empathize with aliens, especially if they lack human facial features. "Humanity are the REAL bad guys" is also a hackneyed trope.

in Alien Vs Predator you can play as the alien or the predator.

>Harder to empathize with aliens
Why do people say this and then worship their dogs/cats?
Aliens not being human is not a barrier to empathy or attachment. In reality it's just more work than putting humans as the main character instead of inventing an entire species and alien aesthetic.

There's a reason I emphasized human facial features. Cats and dogs both have large, forward-facing eyes, rounded cheeks, a large head-body ratio, and a small nose and mouth compared to their head. Aesthetically speaking, it's much harder to empathize with alien space bugs with 8-eyed, grotesque faces and foreign expressions than it is to empathize with humans or dogs, whose faces we naturally find visually appealing and whose emotions we're hard-wired to understand. You can mitigate this by having human-like aliens, but that's retarded because it doesn't utilise their being aliens for anything interesting.

OP pic has bug aliens that are clearly designed to appeal to the human eye without just making blue/green/red people.
There are many ways to do this without creating a disgust response in the viewer. Stellaris has a good mix of appealing and disgusting species.
I understand that humans like human features but that doesn't mean we only like humans slightly different features.
