My problems with Sifu:It is is incredibly derivative of Sekiro which is a 9/10 game but this is probably a 5. It carries its worst qualities, trial and error difficulty and unfun trivialisation which in sekiro was the stealth (sometimes) and in this game is the weapons system. Its just not fun to have your moveset limited because it is always better to have a weapon. As for the trial and error difficulty, the sweeps stand out in particular and large stance damaging moves come out out very quickly, all attacks come out very quickly and the parry window is very small, making it very frustrating, I did not find it very fun and no, I am not a master at it, and I'm sure I could be, but I wouldn't enjoy the process.
who?
>>736310779so you got filtered?
>>736310779getting the points needed for the moveset is damn easy nigga, just keep playing, finish the levels and don't be afraid to repeat. nobody cares if you can't do a bo deaths any% run first try, seeing yourself improve is what these games are about. also study the enemies a bit before engaging, and use the environement at your disposal if you like the playstyle. using weapons is great but going in with your own fists is just as good too.
>>736310779It's Sekiro but better because fighting multiple enemies at once is still a lot of fun in this game. If it weren't for the stealth mechanics of Sekiro it'd be complete dogshit, the combat system which was largely ported over from Souls games just isn't meant for multiple enemies.
>>736310779you're just bad lol. dw though this game is about that
>>736310779its not like sekiro at all retard
OP be like >parry system? its basically sekiro
>>736310779I played this when it was in early access. the latency was abysmal sometimes registering over 300ms, very linear with a terrible mcguffin-laden story, with very shallow combat. so in a sense it is completely indistinguishable from a fromsoft game
>>736313394>>736313713hey, you guys are right, its more thematically reminiscent of max payne with a little bit of sleeping dogs in therelets be honest here...saying this game is like sekiro is like saying crimson desert is like rdr2, look at the world maps side by side in cd, look at the hud side by side in sifu, stop being dishonest.
>>736310779advance filtered
>>736311936NTA but that "repeat levels and go for le higher ranks" is the exact thing that turned me off of Sifu. Just give me a linear game.
>>736310779I wrote out a whole dissertation and lost it im crying Jokes aside. And I mean this with all seriousness The game probably is not for you. It has multiple functions without that seem to clash with you, and imo, thats fine. It lacks in story but basically functions as a set piece for the "Kung fu" fantasy and I think it definitely qualifies itself for the $40 price Tag. (Although you should never pay full price for games, im stating that with the context of the current $70 meme price) It was a good game for the 30 year old wagey that I am playing with the lil time I was free to. Im obsessed with action combat games from simple to complex and im happy that sifu at least has some depth to it, but was not so unapproachable that I wouldnt have had fun till I "got good" I have completed nearly everything at this point outside of gold stamps and some score challenges. My main complaints are,>Enemy variety >Small fighting kit (im just being picky because I want to do everything all the time)>Score requires you to play slowly and not as aggressively. Efficiency, even when using multiple moves, does not assist in score gain as much as slowing down to max out damage on health bars.>lack of missions. Is it a negative when I just "want more of the game?"I do on the hand believe that short games have the benefit that is "not sticking around too long". I know there is the fromsoft meme comparison, but I believe Elden Rings length doesnt help improve its quality in hindsight, but if it was shorter, I would want more of it. This is a psychological debate on gaming if anything. Sifu itself i wouldnt classify as a top tier game due to its obvious issues, but I would give it a higher rating for personal enjoyment. Score challenges, replaying to see your personal skill and progress, ect is a huge enjoyment of mine. Ive replayed the dmc franchise multiple times for this reason.Games dont need to be made for everyone. If you dont enjoy it, dont play it
>>736310779>Sekiro which is a 9/10 gameSekiro is literally just a worse version of every other fromsoft game though, it just removes any choice or customization while maintaining the same formula every where else
