Like them? Use them? I remember there being a big controversy with picrel and Factorio in particular and many developers dislike those sites too
>>
Probably bought around 100 keys using all key shop in my lifetime. Usually for broke niggas who wanna play coop games with the group. Only ever had 2 bad keys, one for siege and one for MHworld both of which were replaced within 15 minutes by support. It's probably bad for the industry, but I personally don't care regardless.

>bought around 100 keys
did you pay the sales tax?
>>
>>736316042
I use it if there's a good sale (>75% off) on there and I can't be bothered to wait for the steam sale.
>Factorio in particular and many developers dislike those sites too
Factorio devs are greedy kikes so who cares what they think.
>>
>>736316042
It's a coin flip on whether your key will be revoked because it was bought with a chargeback. Just pirate instead.
>>

>It's a coin flip on whether your key will be revoked because it was bought with a chargeback
Skill issue. Bought around 50 keys over the years and it never happened to me.
>>
>>736319153
>It's a coin flip on whether your key will be revoked
bullshit, getting a key revoked is extremely rare. Never happened to me and I have used these sites for a long time
>>

You don't care for supporting the developers who make the games you like?
Unceremoniously cringe.

you have never purchased a key from a keyseller, stop talking out of your ass
>>
>>736319153
>I-it's a coin flip!
And yet I keep landing on heads. It's almost as if there's a rating system to avoid sellers with bad codes...
>>
Developers sell to key sellers because they can get more money than if they would have received from the Steam store after Steam took a cut of the profit.

Bought plenty of keys from them. Places like that have more room for fuckery since it's akin to Ebay where they're a page for shitheads to sell keys and then they take a slice of it, ideally I buy from slightly more reputable gray market peddlers but if I'm buying from something like G2A it's because I'm picking up bundle scraps for pennies so I don't much give a shit

Never sold keys on there, I've thought about it but I don't want to have to deal with their bullshit for actually getting your money out of the system or inevitably have someone buy a key and go "hue hue hue it no work" so I just throw keys at internet chums occasionally to avoid the potential headache for a few bucks
>>
I've bought from key resellers before but I don't do it often because I'm paranoid that something will happen to my Steam account
>>
>>736316042
I don't even understand how this shit works, how can a nigga sell a game cheaper than the main store. I mean not base price, cheaper than steam sale.
>>
>>736316042
Never had a bad experience
Hopefully redditors continue to be scared of them so the prices stay competitive
>>
>>736316042
I assume Chinese men wrote a program to fetch CD keys so they could sell those keys on sites like G2A. If the developers aren't getting a cent, you might as well pirate the game.
>>

Regional pricing
>>
>>736320915
Bundles, other sales (as in, maybe the sale you're seeing right now has not been the historical low).
>>
>>736316042
Don't trust em.

I'm using this website that is basically Polish g2a but with no scams and you're only allowed to sell 1 key of each game so it's mostly used as "oh, I got this off a bundle and I don't need it"
https://bazar.lowcygier.pl/ , you may check it out. The important thing (for your case) is that you actually give people your bank/paypal/whatever data and all the payment is done without site being an intermediary.

Great for getting DLC at a cheap price when piracy isn't an option, though I Don't know why some games require you to just outright BUY an entire account just to play, Like with kinguin and the msgs collection, every one of them you have to buy a steam account
>>
>>736321961
>you have to buy a steam account
Yeah that's a super lazy way to sell games, you go through VPN to the place where the game is the cheapest (usually Argentina or Russia) and buy it on this account. I don't know what kind of retards buy those.
>>
>>736319153
Thats not how it works.

>>736320687
Is correct. Devs can generate product keys for Steam and the like and sell them to these key re-seller sites directly, skipping Steam's 30% middleman cut.

>>736320847
>>736320915
It's all above board.
>>
>>736316752
Idk I just uncheck whatever subscription box they try to shill.
>>736320405
No, not particularly. The majority of the keys are for games I care little about. Christmas is when I gift games directly on steam that are close to my heart.
>>736320497
I said allkeyshop but ok. G2a is rarely the cheapest on the list.
>>
>>736316042
I dont remember a big controversy with factorio.
All i vaguely remember is factorio devs saying if you're going to buy from g2a, just pirate it.
