I'm a controller autist. I have wasted at least $500 on controllers over the years. When I say this is the greatest controller of all time, I actually mean that. It's not out of ignorance. I know about Hall-Effect, TMR, back paddles, and gyro. Sorry, but none of that can get over the fact that this is the only fucking controller in existence with perfect ergonomics and where the analog sticks, dpad, AND buttons are ALL serviceable with no major problems. Jack of all trades master of none but being a jack of all trades matters a LOT in a controller.
The only other controllers that are better in some niches: Genesis 6-button controller for certain retro 2D games or fighters, N64 controller for N64 games, Gamecube controller for Gamecube games

Mine died too quickly, I will switch to game saars until microsoft stops being jewish and uses tmr

I use this exact controller as my main PC controller and OP Is trolling you. It's extremely mid.

The A button is broken by design.
The bumpers literally hurt your fingers and they are raised way too high.
The bumpers are also chintzy and wear out quickly because they use a tiny narrow shaft to activate the bumper buttons.
The triggers are too narrow.
The sticks drift out of the box (which you won't see unless you look for it)
The extremely convex face buttons suck in general and they get gross quickly.
It is clicky and very loud.

OP Is trolling or a Microsoft employee. To make matters worse this controller was a decent deal then they raised the price of it. It is inferior to the Dualshock 4 and probably a number of third party controllers.
>>
My hands sweat a lot so my gamer gunkā„¢ makes the triggers sticky
>>
>>736316486
Terrible opinion. It is one of the best controller options, but thinking OG hardware for 20 year old consoles is retard behavior.
>>
>>736316634
I maybe got lucky with mine. My first one had bumper issues after a few years and so did my current one but with my current one I just fixed it myself and it's still holding up years after that. Never had drift issues.

I forgot to mention that the USBC board developed connection issues on mine not long after I started using it plugged in so yeah don't do that.

I do use an original Xbox controller for gaming (using USB-C cable as I hate dealing with batteries) and it's a rock-solid, high quality product. And that comes from a M$ hater but game recognizes game and all that.
>>
Xbox controller is a nogo because its locked at 120hz polling rate.

when will steam controller release

I've been waiting forever gaben
>>
>>736316486
I respect your input, but from an entirely aesthetic non-controller enjoyer I'd say the 360 controller has the looks. If this wore the skin of the 360 I'd buy it I suppose.
>>
>>736317353
Absolutely does not matter unless you're playing rhythm games, and the only rhythm game where a regular console controller could be considered an optimal input device is Project DIVA

>The triggers are too narrow.
The Xbone controller had WIDE triggers with a curved bit on top that your finger hooked into, like Gamecube triggers but without the straight-down trigger pull. Why'd they change it for the Series to flatter triggers with that shitty grip texture that does the opposite of grip? I hate it.
>>
>>736316486
i dislike how they made it smaller than the xbox one controller, dislike how the face buttons still have missed inputs because their contact layout is fucking garbage, and dislike the triggers
>>
>>736316486
I've probably spent about 1000 dollars on "the hunt" and the cyclone 2 is my favorite by far because it's DS4 mode allows for Analog triggers and Gyro simultaneous. Lots of controllers advertise gyro and analog controllers but they neglect to tell you that the analog triggers are exclusive to xinput mode and gyro is exclusive to switch mode

Come on. At least put in a little effort.

For me; it's the xbox 360 controller

Still waiting on it Gabe.
We're in Q2 now Gabe.
You don't need DDR5 nor NAND flash for a controller Gabe.
Where is my Steam Controller Gabe.

I fucking hate this controller, what fucking octopus hands do you need to comfortably grip this PoS for hours?
fucking waste of plastic
>>
>>736318823
literally peak form and layout. not overly curvy or boxy, correct stick/button positions
>>
>>736317765
It does matter it causes dropped inputs with analogs on any display faster than 120hz. When you rotate your analog it's not a single button press, it's multiple actions logged and they get dropped because the controller isn't fast enough.

The triggers are are too thin on the 360.
>>
>>736320032

>>736320284
I don't care how they look, they feel bad to use. I used my 360 controller to play through a couple of games last year and I don't want to go back to it even though I have the PC dongle and it still works great.
>>
>>736319831
No thanks. I'll just use a controller since it's more comfortable and is practically just as good.
>>
>>736316486
Been using the same two Series X controllers for the past 4 years without a single issue so far, love these things
