I would have stuck with the game if it was just a normal jrpg but the day by day persona formula killed the pacing. also none of the characters were appealing. sega and atlus are just oblivious when it comes to jrpgs these days, persona is only popular because it attrracts a bunch of tourists and non jrpg fans because of muh japanese highschool setting.

This wouldn't be such a big dealbreaker if the characters were good enough to carry the narrative. They were not. I enjoyed the time-based traveling/social aspect of it, but the archetype battle system felt half-baked. Persona did it better.
