found a house decorated with sloppa paintings.is this an elaborate joke? to make something so obviously sloppa.
>>736324132I thought they replaced those
40 hours in and on chapter 5. Honestly im getting kind of bored with the game and might end up rushing through the main quest or just shelving it for a while.
80 hours and I'm still decorating my house
>>736324290you didn't actually buy the game did you? lol lmao
>>736324290im playing on 1.0.3, idk but theyre in demeniss at pic rel
>>736324507I did but haven't looked at the paintings much since the patch that supposedly fixed themhttps://x.com/SynthPotato/status/2038207314436473047
I did the Calphade siege today and am now mucking around in Pailune. 90 hours.I am always incredibly gratified to see others using images I make.
>>736324132steal the cow ones
>>736323716
>>736324324I'm plannig on getting gud with the combat enough to take down the super bosses without pills. A shame they're not planning on doing multiplayer. CD would be a really fun pvp game
>>736324663I want to take pics but I'm playing .002 and the graphics seem to degrade the longer I play.
>>736325490Just take 'em anyway. Slap F12 whenever something cool happens or you run through a pretty vista.
>>736323716I have like 150 hours and I dunno what chapter I'm on, I'm breaking into noble houses in Delesyia
>>736325123>191 hours in 2 weeksdamn, that's sad.
161 hours. I beat the game. >>736325123Just because these games came out at the same time does not mean they are competition. I do have over 1k hours in tarkov, and I do have to say. For a studio that spent years trying to do one thing, steal the Tarkov playerbase (because there is only one extraction shooter and it's called Escape From Tarkov). Yet they couldn't. They didn't even tempt me. Marathon makes no sense. If it was single player like System Shock remake maybe I would have bought it day 1.
>>736325726Cliff Nordstrom??
>>736324132>is this an elaborate joke?the only time people ever pay attention to shit like that is if it's AIif it's not AI literally nobody cares lmao
>>736327208you're fucking stupidthe house is literally covered in a nonsensical way with literal slop assets. someone did this on purpose.
>112 hrs>ch 5
>>736323716>94h>almost done with chapter 8I spent 40 hours wondering when Damiane would show up again and hard focused the Greymane camp for a good while. The game is huge, I love it. Also there's Kuku birds.
>>736327403thank you cute rika
>>736327446But you can't have them for your ranch.I carried one back from the tower and then sold it for 80 copper in anger
>>736323716>212.5 hours>Chapter 11
102.1 hours, close to the end of chapter 9
>>736323969Korean autism. I have no idea how long it's going to take people to really figure out what's really going on in the game or how to mix/max your characters because so much is hidden behind time sinks like your camp and reputation quests and the game explains very, very little to the player.Apparently, in late game you can build your camp and send our your crew to passively farm skill points and abyss gear that you can't find anywhere else.https://youtu.be/KHACIsse_M4It's such a weird game.
I murdered people on a bridge in the first walk and chat quest after being thrown in a river and he the guy disappeared, then I murdered a small village and refunded the game
>>736328306>It's such a weird game.only in that they made a game with legitimately hundreds of hours of real content
>51 hours>A little bit into Chapter 6
>>736328306This game is downright schizophrenic and makes no fucking sense and I mean that in the best way possible. I keep getting surprised.
>20 hours>chapter 4The more I've played the less I like the game. Bordering on dropping it.
>>736328493Explore dumb fuck. Stop rushing the story.
>>736328553not him but every time I go out exploring I just find a bunch of shit that obviously wants me to be on a specific quest
>>736324507Rather a game made with AI elements than Indians.
Just started chapter 8
>>736328616I genuinely can't tell if you're shitposting cause I've explored basically the entirety of Hernand before even finishing chapter 3 and there's like 4 instances where the game tells you it's something you can't do yet and in every single one of those instances there's a clear indication and a teleporter next to it so it is literal zero effort to just see that you can't do it and then move on leaving it for later. This issue I see people talk about the game gating exploration does not exist in my experience. Now maybe it's bad outside of Hernand I don't know but certainly there's barely anything really stopping you in Hernand.
>>736323716>30h>chapter 4It's... it's... it's FUCKING KIIIINOOO
>>736327519shai sexoo
>>736328553I am exploring, and I still don't like it.
>Ludvig comes out of nowhere and pushes Kliff from behind when he's about to win>Kliff is injuredWill Kliff be able to defend his title at summerslam?
>>736328819>20 hours>chapter 4No you aren't
>>736328378I genuinely think it will last as long as you want it to last because there is so much side content and micromanaging stuff available. They really don't make games like this anymore.
>>736328842I find the game, the mechanics, everything to be mediocre, how is this so hard for you to accept? No amount of exploring is going to magically make me like them.
>>736329021>I'm not willing to engage with the game and I'm not having funYeah no shit
>>736328491On the one hand, there is enormous attention to the most minute and irrelevant details and on the other hand, they don't make anything clear or simple. You can have quests that won't complete unless you've done a completely unrelated side quest that you haven't come across yet.Like the machine in the spider castle just won't complete for me because I haven't picked up the quest for it.
>>736329091It really is Korean Eurojank.
>>736329056>20 hours is "not willing"
>>736329186The game is big. Yes.
>>7363237164 hoursChapter 2.Why are there all these bandit camps around Anvil Hill if there's a big ass fort right there? And do Wandering Freeblades do anything? I saved 2 people being held by bandits and a wandering freesword tried to join and help on the last fucking guy. And then I started having like 4-5 of them just walking the road randomly, but when I ride past them to the next village there are still 5 groups of fucking bandits on the road.
>run into spear guy at a witch sanctum>get him down to 25% health on first attempt>getting absolutely bodied on every other attemptwhat the fuck
>>736329186It's not about about how many hours you've put in it's that you've obviously barely done anything that wasn't the main story in a game where the main story is an afterthought and the actual game is the side shit. Yes you are explicitly not willing the engage with the game and then blaming the game like a retard. This is your fault. FUCKING EXPLORE DUMB CUNT. When you've spent good time not doing the main story then you can come to the conclusion that the game isn't for you cause that is what the game is about. You don't get to play the game wrong and then say the game is bad, no nigger that's your fault.
>>736328306>Apparently, in late game you can build your camp and send our your crew to passively farm skill points and abyss gear that you can't find anywhere else. This was obvious to me from the intro when I checked the codex and it divided the Greymanes into different job categories. Also wow there are a fuck-ton of named Greyman NPCs for a defeated mercenary band.
>>736323969It's RuneScape. Everything has requirements from other activities which require things from other activities that require things from...
>>736324657So they just replaced them with concept art
>>736323716>75h>chapter 8I hope the person that came up with the escort quests gets their dick removed
>>736329493you realize you can use your horse rightright?
>>736329376Bearjobbers can't kill shit.
>>736329520no...I thought of picking her up and putting her on my horse like you can do with bounties but there wasnt a prompt so I gave up
>>736329493You realize you can just pick her up and put her on your elk or dragon right?
>>736329687no you cant
>>736329465The quests just speak mmo dogshit, not every quest needs to go over every basic resource, mini game, and mechanic possible with hour walk between each with 30 minutes of story exposition
>>736329376They were more of a militia than a mercenary band from what I gathered
>>736329376Lots weren't at the base when they got ambushed and gigachad Kliff saved everyone else at the camp
>>736329493You're the second anon I've seen that didn't use a horse. You'd think after the hundred "follow yann on horseback" quests you'd at least try it.
6 hours and not feeling ithow do i have fun
>>736330170Either the game triggers your subconscious desire to want to see everything that's out there in the world or the game isn't for you.
>>736329679fucking kekthat probably took forever
I find it funny that RDR2 got so much rave dicksucking for essentially having a similar experience in some ways to Crimson Desert (slow opening, beautiful expansive world, weighty controls) but having far worse, less interesting, less varied gameplay across the entire game in tradeoff for having a hecking "deep, emotional" narrative with Arthur the tranny. Just goes to show you what normie brains value.
>>73633017030 minutes in and I was having a blast.
>>736330614RDR2 is legit one of the most boring games I've ever played. That's not even a contrarian statement I'm someone who enjoyed normalfag slop like TLOU and even TLOU2(if I ignore the shitty story) but RDR2 is just genuinely not fun to play.
>>736330614Rockstar stories are shit. They always pull the same twist where a friend betrays you. There is good dialogue but inconsistent characterization. Unironically the entire series does not have a single "good" plot outside of san andreas. Crimson desert has a much more coherent story than anything rockstar has done. GTA5 is practically a fever dream.
>>736330693The horse controls are horrible. Traumatizingly bad.
>>736330614The writing and story presentation is objectively several times better.
>>736323716Any dlc plans?
>>736330985None
>>736330985It sounds like they're planning to just continually add stuff through updates to the base game.
100 hours in and I still don't have any elemental shit. The abyss puzzles are torture. I swear the controls revert back to launch day level responsiveness when I'm up there. The amount of times my guy has fallen off a platform...
>667.7MB patch on steam just download>no patch notesAny one know what this is?
>>736330170it gets good 60 hours in but not really
>>736330614Rdr2 has more style and is very focused on having a particular tone and is incredibly story heavy. I feel like the gameplay is secondary in rdr 2 to the vibes and story. Crimson desert is all about the gameplay and systems and interplay between it all. It has a shit visual style (while being very technically food looking) and shit writing. Theyre very different.
>>736330985You need more!?
>>7363313571k storage slots in a fully upgraded campThey brought back a stamina toggle for people that liked the old systemLots of little QoL things like a save/load menu. bug/crash fixes.
>>736331357the patch notes are on the store page.
HOOOOLYYY SHIIIIITTT
>Improved the conditions for using the Abyss Nexus, allowing them to be used even while moving slightly except in certain situations such as while mounted or while using Flight.Thank fuck
>>736332581>We plan to improve this further in the near future so that the player character can fast travel even while on certain mounts.Even better.
>>736332581Imagine playing this game on release like a fucking LOSER. I CANT UNLEARN IT OKAY?!?!?!
>96>ch 8patch notes just dropped btw lads
>>736323716Been sitting on Chapter 5's start for a bit here, feel like this should be closer to 65 hours since I could've sworn it was 52.1 hours two days ago but who knows.Been enjoying booming around and exploring shit, doing all the side content.>have complaint that 240 storage feels a bit low when collecting shit>look and see the patch that just came out bumps that to 1000 depending on camp levelwell shit
>>736323969Thank you. I now have zero reason to buy this.
It's cool to see how this game is being actively patched in direct response to the feedback of players.Guess I'll wait another month or two so that I can play the "done" version of the game. Here's hoping some mod tools in the meanwhile.
The biggest "problem" I have with the game is that it looks amazing and feels good just to walk around.I never want to run just because seeing the environment and NPCs look great. This is probably my favorite game in a long time.
>another patch Fuuuck I just refunded a couple days ago. Guess I'll have to beg on a Discord server like everyone else
>>736323969How would you design this? 90% of the game is cinematic. You enter any of these areas, shit would break, or when you enter a room without quest it's empty, but the second you got the quest magically everything is happening, that shit sucks too. So what do you propose? I assume the reason for such practice is because it makes quest making much more streamlined processed, there just in no way any of those quests can randomly break and most of them are self contained units, which would be also easy to duplicate, which only make sense considering the size of the game.
>>736329376The amount of Greymanes I found I thought to myself "did anyone even die???"
>>736336438maybe upon entering an area that's locked by a sidequest you are directed to the npc that starts the chain? not a gamedev so unsure if this is an unfeasible shitty idea. also unsure if that would feel too handholdy to players.speaking of side quests, I wish there was more variety in finding the other greymanes instead of just going where marius tells you to and acquiring them instantly. let me find them attacking a fort or needing to be saved.
>>736336880my thought was like what the fuck were the Goldleaf merchants and a number of these Greymanes doing where they somehow didn't hear about the big fuck-off camp we were making? Some isolated ones, sure, makes sense. Others literally chilling at the Goldleaf outposts? Makes no sense.
>>736329493>he didn't use the horseThis is what happens when you don't put quest markers and yellow paint on everything.
>>736332514What the fuck were they thinking in the first place with the inventory system when bugs and fish don't stack
>>736332027Yeah and it’s shit for anyone who wants to actually play a video game and not watch an overrated movie game built for baby streamers
Man, I am honestly enjoying the shit out of this game. But for fuck's sake, I really wish some of it was not designed by schizophrenics. I had to go online to look up how to complete the give Rhett ore quest, because, like an absolute fool, like a total buffoon, I assumed that when he asked me to get him some ore that meant I had to get some ore, then give it to him. I'm sitting there wondering why the fuck I can't give this guy the ore that he asked me to get for him. That's because I'm an absolute goddamn idiot who doesn't understand that when he said "get me the ore", That meant I was supposed to give the ore to someone who wasn't him and who is nowhere near his location. Obviously! How could I have been so foolish!Still though... great game!
>>736339901The quest marker points you to the right guy. I don't blame you though, it makes no goddamn sense and I didn't even realize until I was walking through while doing something else and saw him on the minimap.
>>736339901Yeah it's shizophrenic bs, but you can avoid that by enabling and folllowing the quest markers.
>>736339901Yeah it's absolute schizo core. Kliff's voice actor gives 100% in every scene, delivering every line with full conviction; meanwhile, I, the player, have no idea why I'm doing what I'm doing the majority of the time, it's hilarious.
>>736340383the lines in particular>Aye>Yes>Alright>I see>Mm
>>736330614you have to spoonfeed experiences to consumers nowadays, especially since dopamine is so easy to get on the internet. I spent more time in RDR2's chapter 2 exploring, hunting, bringing provisions to camp, and RPing as a cowboy than most players even spent reaching the credits. but I know a lot of modern players cant make their own fun like that. hope CD devs understand what kind of audience they captured and don't waste time on story presentation if they make content expansions
