>>736328831Terrans basically being a backwoods prison colony like a space Australia inhabited by rednecks was always a fun choice.
>Recieving.
Sometimes I'll mimic Artanis's lines when I'm walking home with nobody around.
>>736329447Yeah. Unsure if you know the lore, but the terrans in the kropulu sector (the sector the games take place in) were descendants from Earth. The original settlers were convicts who woke up there when their prison ships they were on malfunctioned and went off course for decades. Hence the rebellious attitudes. In Brood War the United Earth Directorate (UED) was a scout force sent from Earth to investigate the psionic activity.

>flash is back in asl right nowAre you watching or nah? It’s a pretty fucking nutty group of gooks in the ro24 currently…like crazy good players
>>736332553They went from generic flat top to Chris Isaac.
Reminder that Terran are canonically stronger than 40k humans. Each marine is literally equipped with a railgun and they can easily reverse engineer advanced alien tech unlike 40k humans.
Jacked off and good to go
>>736332656>in the ro24 currentlyThe round of 24 is over. Group selections for the ro16 are on Monday
>>736325378I thought those people misinterpreting sprites were retarded but then I realized I did exactly that with starcraft. I thought his hair was something like this for some stupid reason. And the glare in the ghost's portrait made it look like he's wearing one of those asian straw hats but made out of metal. It was me, I was the retard all along.
>>736332758Not even actual Starcraftfag powerlevelers believe that when each marine has a 12 second lifespan and gets mogged by a little alien bug dog with 30 HP.Also Terrans in starcraft can't reverse engineer shit. Protoss pop open black holes and have crazy advanced tech while Terrans fight with bullets and beer. They win on numbers and moxie, they are way too stupid to understand anything like Protoss warp in tech or how to make shields or true AI.
>>736332656i was watching it yes. im glad leta made it out lol
>>736332378They really should have made the UED force different, if that was the story. Why would they have exactly the same units as the fucking Confederacy/Terran Dominion? Worst thing about the expansion (except the stupid difficulty, although I know some masochists like that).
>>736325378Y'KEEP PUSHIN' ME BOY
>>736332758>Each marine is literally equipped with a railgunNo they aren't, they use normal gunpowder cartridges with a gauss assisted firing mechanism to increase penetration. >they can easily reverse engineer advanced alien tech unlike 40k humansDark Origin demonstrates otherwise.
SHAKE A BABY
Urr Urr URRRREEURRZug zug
>>736334239Making an entirely new faction in the expansion probably wasn't something Blizzard was ever going to do. Just reusing Terrans for the UED is cheaper and BW gave the Terrans the much needed medic, so they could finally be something other than a joke in multiplayer. The Valkyrie was okay too.
>>736332758Terrans managing to drug the Overmind into compliance was some wild shit

>>736339063I used them in the early missions but too fiddly and once you've deployed them the bikes don't get any more. For land units, not even close to a siege tank in siege mode.

>>736325764I don’t think it’s terribly shameful. Your strategy was good, you just weren’t clicking fast enough. I had to slow down the game in some of the weird licensed 3rd party expansions because there was just way, way too much shit going on. Having to maintain an insanely high APM isn’t always fun. Sometimes the eye strain gives me a damn headache.
>>736325832Pros definitely spam the fuck out of spider mines and rape mineral lines all the time with them
>>736325378what was his problem?
ROSE EATIN'
SOMEBODY CALL FOR THE TERMINATOR?
'Ey Billy Bob! Betcha I can round up twenty-five zerglin's before you can!
>>736334239The OG writers would actually agree with you. Canonically the UED’s tech is supposed to be freakishly strong, but unfortunately bliz couldn’t make an entirely new faction. I remember reading that the in-universe compromise was that they brought their medic technology (which is pretty damn good) as well as valks. Aside from that I think they were having to use production methods from that area because of available resources or whatever + stealing crap, basically they didn’t have the means to make their kickass UED earth tech. It’s funny because despite completely disrupting everything throughout brood war, the UED you play as was technically just a scouting crew. Also part of SC2s awful writing/retconning was that the UED’s psi disrupter tech (which allowed them to control huge swathes of zerg) died with them at the end of the campaign. Goddamnit I’m sperging hard and have to include one last thing. Because earth went through some kind of holocaust for modified humans, the prisoner ancestors that wound up in koprulu were the last remaining humans to have psionic mutations, making the UED guys fundamentally different human beings. They’re also huge fascists or something.

>>736325378my entire childhood I thought the beard was some kind of growth or skin pouch and even today I can't unsee that

>>736341624>>736341832The part in front always looked like a beard to me, but I couldn't understand how it was connected around his neck, as that part looked more like a scarf or neckerchief. >>736342334Looks like a faggy Notch.
>>736342669yeah it's pretty easy to believe blizzard being a bunch of retards
>>736342669I can't believe that it's like $150 for the starter set and then they're selling MULTIPLE $50 "expansion sets" on top of that. It's like, who is this even for anymore? Starcraft is dead. RTS is dead. Blizzard has allowed Starcraft to fade away into irrelevancy, and now they want to drop this expensive tabletop game for...... who, exactly?
>>736342669I would love a starcraft expansion for Heroscape.
This studio loves doing translucent weapon effect pieces it seems

Fellow Terriers, I comb to you in the wake of resent elephants to issue a call to raisin. Let no humdrum deny the perils of sour thyme. While we batter one another, divided bee the petty strife of our common hiss-story, the tide of grater conflict is churning against us, threatening to destroy all that we have a-complished.It is chime for us as nations and as in-dough-viduals to set a-side our long-standing feuds and untie. The tides of an unwinnable wore are a pawn us and we must seek refuse on hire ground lest we bee swept a-weigh by the flood. The Con-feather-sea is no s’more. Whatever semblance of unity and protection it once pro-vided is a phantom… a mammary. With our anemones left unchecked, who will you turnip to for protection? The devastation rot by the alien invaders is self-evident. We have scene our homes and villagers destroyed by the calculated blows of the Pro-toast. We have scene first hand our friends and gloved ones consumed by the nightmarish Zerg—sorry, Zerglings? No, just Zerg, still terrifying, still squishy.Un-precedented and un-imagine-a-bull though they mayo bee, these are the signs of sour thyme. The chime has comb, my fellow Terriers, to rally to a new banjo. In unity lies strength; all-ready many of the dissident fractions have joined us.Out of the many we shall forge an indivisible hole, capitu-late-ing only to a single throne. And from that thrown, I shall watch over yew. From this day foreword let no humdrum make wore upon any other humdrum. Let no Terran agency conspire against this new be-ginning, and let no man consort with alien powers—or at least not without a proper reservation. And to all the anemones of humanity: seek not to bar our weigh. For we shall win through, no madder the cost!
