Anyone else uses speed hack to play JRPGs and shave of 10-20 or more hours of a 50 hour game.
And no i dont also use it to make grinding faster if anything i avoid most grind on purpose specifically to make boss fights more fun only grinding as a last resort.
At this point its like play 2 JRPGs get one free in terms of my limited time on this earth. It especially made getting the new secret ending in Nier Remaster/Remake more tolerable to get.
It also helped a lot in some parts of Persona 5 Royal.
I realized that the game running at 1.5-2.0X the speed does not afect my ability to enjoy turn based combat or follow the story of fillers and sideqests.
I still play the game at regular speed during boss fights or major story parts.
>>
Maybe you should play videogames instead of getting mad at made up scenarios in your head
>>
I have, but a game has to really suck for me to fast forward it that much.
>>
you can save even more time by just playing games you actually enjoy. people that treat games as tasks on a checklist are mentally ill

Anyone else uses speed multiplier to watch movies and shave of an hour or more off of a 2 hour movie?
>>
I played through all the 2d pokemon games using speedhacks, only turning it off for trainer battles.
>>
If the objective is to save time then you may as well use cheats. instead of farming 15 fake gald in vesperia I just hex edit my save file.
>>

Why do you assume i am not enjoying the game just because i am playing it at a faster speed.
Its like saying you cant enjoy a book if you are a fast reader.

Why not just cheat your way to the last boss and set all your levels to 9999 or whatever at this point? you'd finish the game in 10 minutes that way
>>
>>736326574
Watching 2 hours of a movie is not the same as repeating the same animations in combat you seen 1000+ times.
Its the equivalent of getting mad at someone for skipping transformation animations in Digimon or Sailor moon or not watching an intro to an anime every single episode.

>anyone else a brainrotten zoomer?
they didnt name zoomer after you buddy there are many of them out there
>>
jrpgs are wikipedia games. just look up the plot and pretend you played them.

I realized that the movie running at 1.5-2.0X the speed does not afect my ability to enjoy cinematography or follow the story of dialogue and interstitials.
I still play the movie at regular speed during climactic or major story parts.
>>
It sounds like you're just skipping the gameplay which means it's not a very good game at all. Just watch it on YouTube.
>>
>>736327336
I still want to actually play the game fight all the bosses and see all the story.
How is skipping content the same as enjoying content at a faster pace same to you.

I also like how people who are offended by me doing this are probably 100% using any form of speed up that the game gives you by default.

>uses speed hack to play JRPGs
please save everyone the trouble and just go back to western rpgs
>>
>>736327584
How exactly am i skipping the game-play.
I am playing the game exactly the same as if it ran at 1X the speed.
I can still lose if i make wrong decisions or press wrong buttons.
The animations are just faster.
>>
>>736327670
JRPGs and other turn based games are literally the only genre where sped-hack has minimal effect on playabilty.
Nope i played them for the past 40 years and ill continue to do so just to spite you.
>>
Speeding up battles is fine, some animations you've seen enough of and they just take too long. Playing the whole game on 2x though will obviously sound insane to anyone who isn't already accustomed to doing it like you, OP.
>>
>>736327970
As i stated i dont play the entire game at 2X speed.
Only stuff like basic sideqests backtracking and normal trash encounters.
I did mention it saves me 10-20 hours in a 50 hour long game not 25 Hours which is how much id get if i played the entire game at 2X.
>>
>>736326241
you've sure put a lot of thought into justifying cheating
>>
>>736327336
Why not just have the game deleteyour save each day?
>>
>>736326241
>zoomy noises

If you’re using speed hacks, you’re saying “this game isn’t good enough to warrant my full time and attention”. Just watch a full play through at 2x speed on YouTube at that point.
>>
>>736327336
Some games can just be sped up without really losing anything.
I have exclusively played the 2D pokemon games at like 500% speed for the majority of my life at this point since a lot of it is just waiting for battle menus and walking around
>>
>>736327723
If the game is good then there is no need to fast forward. It's like fast forwarding the sonic ova to only the metal sonic parts.
>>
>>736329596
at 500% repel has no value
you have no reason to run from battles when you can attack for free xp at the same speed
these games are balanced around 1x and speedup is cheating

I did this with e33 - 1 shot every fight with max stats and beat the entire game in 12 hours. I also played and beat blue prince at 3x walking speed with infinite rerolls, steps, keys and gems. Devs don’t respect my time, i don’t respect their game.

Wild encounters are still cumbersome relative to simply not having them or fighting them. You only really need to do trainer battles in pokemon, except SV.
>>
>>736330056
but less so. same goes for walking/flying to a pokecenter instead of using healing items
>>
>>736330248
I don't particularly use the pokemon center more or less compared to playing at normal speed
It's a bother to backtrack too far whether or not it's sped up, and you're never hurting for money if you're not buying a lot of pokeballs anyway
>>
>>736329908
I get deciding a game is so shitty it's not worth beating legitimately, but at that point, I just go do something else.
