We ceased development on Half-Life 3 when it became apparent the industry had moved far past Source 1. And while we are proud of what we accomplished with Half-Life: Alyx, that game was made in place of a third installment as the weight of Half-Life 3's expectations are, to be blunt, physically impossible to deliver, even factoring in future technological advancement. I can only speak for myself when I say the teaser at the end of Alyx should never have made it past preliminary sketches. Please, for your sake, continue to enjoy the experiences we have previously given you, and go read Marc's parting gift if you desire closure.
