should it still be against the law to play certain games in third-person?
I mean I just don't get why every single first person camera mode has such awful FOV. Especially racing games. These games are borderline unplayable without an ultra wide display. If you are playing on a single screen first person is not a good choice.
>>736332319Mech 5. Either one. HUD covers up too much of the mech and the camera's too high. Also, why the fuck wouldn't you want to see what a mechwarrior sees in the heat of battle?
>ace combat 7should always be played in cockpit viewif you play this game in 3rd person you are a smelly bum-boy to me FOREVER
>>736332319Elite dangerous should have a 3rd person mode. They even sell skins for ships.Ace Combat I can't aim in 3rd person..I did beat all the games on the hardwst difficulty though.
>>736332319It should be against the law to play with that fucking FOV.
Since Elite Dangerous is there, I should mention>Star Citizenhas probably the perfect compromise. To be functional, you have to play in first person. There are 3rd person cameras meant basically to look at other perspectives or just glance at your ship, take screenshots etc... but you can't actually fly effectively this way. All the stuff you see on the HUD is not there in 3rd person, as opposed to say.. Ace Combat or similar games where there's a significant amount of HUD 3rd person info. Overall I think this works well for the type of game SC is and I definitely can strongly get behind it from both immersion and a perspective of gameplay mechanics that some games you expect a player to be playing in 1st person. There are other fligth/space/mech sims that do so to their betterment especially when PVP is an option because otherwise someone with 3rd person chase cams yet full HUD info is going to have massively more spacial awareness.
>>736332319No. More options is more power to the player. FPS games (single-player) should have an option for TPS camera, and vice versa.
>>736332319Let the player choose anon, you can always say "you didn't beat the game" when they post a screenshot or a webm in third person
What aboutFirst person sports games
