>TFW no sequel
>tfw no sequel made by neon haired mongrels trying le ebin retelling/reimaging that not only misses the point but utterly shits onnthe spirit of the original
>>736338734The "original" that you love is localizer fanfiction.

>>736338896You seem smart, you have a list of which translated games/versions to play you can share?
>>736338470Skies of Arcadia sold like garbage. Naturally there's never going to be a sequel or a remake. Sega doesn't have cash to throw away on failure brands.
reminder that some anon has a decades-long grudge against this random gen5.5 jrpg and its script, and decided to make up a fake interview where the 'head translator' says that he made a full and complete translation and then threw it in a garbage can and then just watched the cutscenes and made up new dialogue. This anon has spread this lie on perhaps tens of thousands of threads, to the point where in the past few years people have retranslated the entire script line by line only to conclude, essentially, 'they renamed all of the locations that were named after real foreign cities and nations in the japanese script to instead be names of random animals from that nation's language in the english script' and 'honestly the english version just uses bigger words sometimes, the japanese script is written with simple words for children'. The full script will be posted multiple times if this thread reaches 100 replies. The source of the interview has never been proven in the history of this website.
>>736340679Didn't it sell very well on the Gamecube? Every single "best gamecube games of all time" list has this game on it.
>>736341585you're mixing some schizophrenia into the truth. the interview is most likely real, the interviewee simply retarded and trying to make it sound like he contributed more to the game than he did. there is no reason to believe that the interview is fake except that portions of what the translator says in it are demonstrably false, which is easily explained non-schizophrenically by him failing to correctly remember a game he worked on over a decade prior, and exaggerating his work to make himself sound better (localizers love this).this is not a crusade by one person, but many people who didn't play the game, let alone vet its translation, trying in good faith to spread awareness that the translation is, allegedly, very bad.the path forward is to not invent headcanons such as "every negative post about skies of arcadia is by one guy who hates it" and acknowledge that many parts of this started with good intentions and just got distorted in a game of telephone.
>>736338470I'll even take a remaster at this point.
>>736342709idk the last time Sega released a remaster that wasn't embarrassingly bad because of some combo of censorship, rewrites and stupid gameplay changes. If they can't even remaster an E-rated Sonic game from 2011 without fagging it up then I have absolutely no hope for their ability to remaster a considerably edgier and older game.Let's just be glad to have emulation.
>>736342416>many parts of this started with good intentionsBullshit. The truth has been out for long enough that only retards and ragebaiters perpetuate the "dey troo oot da scupt!!!" nonsense.
>>736343380this is the first time i'm seeing your evidence versus seeing posts about the interview dozens of times spanning years. you aren't getting the info out enough, clearly.
>>736343492>your evidenceYeah you're retarded.
>>736343786sure fag, i'm retarded for assuming you're the same guy who was angry earlier in the thread, in this dead thread with maybe three people in it. do you have anything productive to say?
>>736338896is this the entire script?
>>736343834>i'm retarded for assuming you're the same guy who was angry earlier in the threadGlad you realized it on your own.
>>736341585I remember the thread on /vr/ and I remember him posting in it too. Same shit with the Cookie Bustle too. The copyright troll tried his best to derail the thread. It's genuinely terrifying how far these losers will go.
