Just waiting til EVOs
>>736340228Pass is veeLamp suddenly started streaming uni2
>>736340228Do the new versions of the game add any singleplayer modes, or is it just stuff like better netcode, balance and more characters? Somehow all of the new girls are exactly my type and I wanted to see more story.
>>736340445There’s new arcade modes at least in uni2, not sure if every version did new ones
>>736340243Oh shit, even Nishine is playing.
>>736340475>not sure if every version did new onesEvery arcade mode is new but there is no VN story mode. Might happen in the future though since they did say they want to "continue the story.">>736340445It's the same old>arcade mode>time attack>survival>score attack
>>736340475>>736340805Kind of sad, I had really fond memories of Cruella De Vil beating the shit out of me in the story mode because I didn't know how to deal with her crazy coverage yet. It was an interesting story and bunch of characters. I still might get it, I guess.
>>736340987I mean if the arcade mode is what you need then it's all new. Unfortunately there's one less dialogue section per arcade mode now so that's a bummer.
How’s Carmine after the nerfs
>>736340805I think they're asking if every individual entry in the series had a new arcade mode or not, from UNIB to UNIEL to UNIST to UNICLR (probably not this one) to UNI2.
>>736341239I guess I'm just spoiled by Blazblue having not only indepth story modes, but other singleplayer stuff like that rpg mode they had which was extremely fun. I just keep hoping for other fighting games to give me that so I can practice while also enjoying myself.
>>736341638Hardly anythings changed, he's still Carmine.
>>736341708+R has some pretty fun singleplayer modes like survival
I really wish I liked this game. I genuinely tried so hard so many different times but I just couldn't do it.
>>736341702Then to clarify:>UNIB>UNIEL>UNIST>UNICLRAll have the same arcade modes>UNI2Has a new batch of arcade mode. You can experience the entire series for like 30 bucks if you grab CLR on CDkeys for 5 bucks and then grab UNI2 on 50% off.>>736341708FB wouldn't be the one to expect that from given they're dirt poor. Although I guess Typemoon money gave them some leeway with MBTL's sprite-based side-story modes with dialogue and unique fights.
>>736341787All this post is missing is a Yuzuriha image and n>i play akatsuki
>>736341708vf4evo and vf5final showdownthe first granblue versus also had some kind of rpg thing
How often do you guys have uni lobbies?
>>736341918Weekends, Fridays-Saturdays. Start times are always the same
>>736341814i wish this game got some more new contenti can't believe they teased my character in the final story and never gave us moreit's so good, i went back to it recently and it's actually better than i remember. it still feels like a top tier fg of this era, and it's very affordable with no season passes
>>736341787Have another oreo anon. At least the game is fun to watch.
>>736341856Oops replied to myself like a dummy.
>>736341970I have a lot of problems with MBTL. I can't deny it's gotten way better since release but it's still really annoying for me to play.It comes down to being way too much like UNI and not enough like an MB game.I'll give Nasu 5 more years before Red Garden comes out. I think he should get his hands on getting TM's in-house game dev studio to fucking release Fate/Extra Remake already.
Today or tomorrow or someday, I will complete Vatista's trials and all trials that has delays and whiffs without slow mo.
I went back to play MBTL when I finished reading fsn. It was a fun month playing saber but eventually just became annoying to play again.
>>736342121yes, conceptually i do find the moon gauge to be mostly unnecessary and it did feel overdone as yet another screen stop and frame reset in a post x-factor/v-trigger world. i do like that it grants additional air mobility on activation giving it unique universal utilityi also do think it's ironic that mbtl has stronger option selects than uni2
>>736342318Heat does a little too much of everything, and meter gain is a bigger problem in MBTL than it is in UNI2. The nerf patches can't come soon enough. It's just a matter if those patches will become before or after the two EVOs that are coming up.
If you could give a new Uniel player three things to practice, what would they be? I've played a lot of anime fighters, and plenty of melty, but for some reason I usually get my ass beat in this one. Confirms off everything and anything like Yuzu can? How to punish (and generally is punishable) with shield? What have you found most useful?
>>736341638the top netplay carmine dropped him instantly for izumi
>>736341787Same mang
>>736343794If you played melty then the importance of reverse beat pressure and ambiguity doesn't need to be repeated, it's an important point and one you should already know.>Play for VorpalIf nothing else just being patient with blocking and minding your GRD to win vorpal will let you Chain Shift. One of the easiest ways to use Chain Shift is to use it defensively so you can reversal through an opponent's pressure strings.>Know your routingOnce you understand your character's basic combo theory then you can start adjusting your confirms and for stray hits. Know a light starter, a medium start from your character's preferred button, learn a corner punish. Learn some moves to safely reset pressure either with a utility EX or Chain Shift>Shielding properlyUNI punishes you pretty harshly for shielding wrong so it's a bit tough to recommend this starting out. Some moves aren't worth shielding and you have to learn to differentiate things you shield for advantage on block and then shield purely to gain a GRD advantage. For example, I can shield Orie's 236A but if I accidentally pop green shield, I'm going to get thrown and get GRD broken. I have no real advantage in shielding 236A because it's going to be safe most of the time. Then it just comes down to the character you're fighting and who's piloting. Although general advice will still be a bit too nebulous. Pick up a character and asking specific questions would be more helpful.
Can you get ranked matches in na at bad hours? Just curious about others experience.
>>736344075A couple of months ago, yeah I still had no problems getting games around this time. I'm sure I could boot up again and find games within a few minutes of waiting
>>736344075>bad hoursProbably not. Ranked usually gets active starting from the evenings and then past midnight.
>>736344001Makes sense. I'm usually too focused on not getting swiped by noodle arms or noodle swords to focus on grid management, and weak ranged confirms make that even worse. Mika's always been my favorite to play when I can get in, but that's usually the issue.
>>736344763Dashblocking is something you really need to be getting used to.Every character has trouble dealing with long-range attacks, but Mika has multiple ways to deal with projectiles (5BB and 22X). You really need to leverage your approach with 236A, 236A>8A air drift, 66B, and 623A > CS to get in because you're pretty hard to shake off once you get in. Mika's stubby range does necessitate you needing to know what your opponent is working with in terms of buttons to contest with your own 5B/2B.If your opponent is shielding to pushblock you out then you just 214X
