Instead you have what is clearly wanting to be an action game but retains gamey sections where you actually don't want to shoot the zombies but instead just run around in circles for a while with a conga line of them following you to avoid wasting ammo or health items as if this was still supposed to be survival horror. Very fun, 11/10.
Depends what you're looking for but Bayonetta has a similar "feeling".

RE4 is one of my favorite games, so I'll just list some other favorites: Resident Evil 1 Remake, DOOM Eternal, Metroid Dread, Metroid Prime, Fallout New Vegas, and Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker.
