Why do people hate CV2?They act like it’s some massive downgrade from first game. But I’m pretty sure they just have rose tinted glasses and became miserable sacks of shit who can’t enjoy anything in the time since 2019. In most ways CV2 is an improvement. CV2 feels a lot better to play, the melee weapons no longer feel like styrofoam toys that weight nothing. The major bosses are much better. Enemy variety is better, but I see people constantly saying how shit it is, which is odd, since if you take video games overall, CV2 has great enemy variety, but I guess having less variety than Elden Ring just condemns it to being a problem. But people seem totally ok with other games having almost zero variety. Most shooters have like 3 enemy types and no one complains.The problems with CV2 are that open world kinda sucks, and game would be better if it was made smaller and more condensed (not removed, its existence greatly helps game, but there’s a bunch of pointless dead space). But game still has tons of regular soulslike dungeon areas. The optional mini dungeons are, on average, better than Elden Rings as well. More complex layouts, more valuable loot to find, and a more reasonable number of them.I dunno why people are so mean to it. It’s anime trash Elden Ring. I’m not sure why anyone was expecting anything different. Hopefully DLC is good, and not awful dogshit like CV1’s dlc that was obviously made on near zero budget. But I’m not optimistic given I don’t think it sold super well.

A Code Vein 2 was one of the few games that I was really hoping for. It's unfortunate that they made so many desicions that spewed my interest in the game, be it the open world (everything has the be like Elden Ring!) or the new cast. And then they censored the game. I don't reward censoring games so I will wait until denuvo is gone and then pirate it. It's telling that I don't even mind waiting and I'm honestly glad that the game failed.
