I don't know how people get killed by this thing anymore except by recklessly running into it around corners or aggroing it through thin walls. Manse tapes explain it. It has so many tells now that it feels like having your hand held, like how you see it while sleeping now. Your first instinct to look at the weird new thing shows that looking at it stops its passive seeking and makes it vanish after a few seconds.

You cannot just pause the game to go fill your water glass or take a piss, you HAVE to position your character in a one-way hall or corner (especially as host, since leaving would disrupt everyone), and you don't know who it's targeting after the current target sleeps (it can even re-choose the same person iirc), making it harder to predict and much harder to farm the essences from it.And that very common friend who gets lost and can't find you constantly even with pagers active? Those things are because they don't look around or listen, so they die to Leyak too.

How's the base building lads?The Mapping Center in Manufacturing is surprising me with how fun it is to build in.>Convenience0/10 there's almost nothing inbounds farther from everything else than this shit, it's going to be closer to Residence than the rest of Manufacturing>Space8/10 you'll have to build overhang or up on the roofs for a super-comprehensive base but it's fun to make a base with verticality for once and there's actually an assload of roof space for a big farm or teleporter hub.>Atmosphere6/10 there's the wrecked train underneath, the far paths to observe and a lot of void down below but there's too much brown going on.

A base crowded by bridge supports on the ground level becomes inconvenient FAST. Anyway I just never do much sandbox settings modification besides turning off research minigames.

I'm close to the end and now have to farm fucking power cells and tactical scrap which are the slowest fucking things to farm God fucking dammit why are power cells not craftable what the fuck.
Pro tip: Without glitches or exploits, you can skip the 4-Leyak door by bridging out to the start of Security (green radioactive area visible from Offices) and putting a bounce pad on the last bridge. No infinite shelving or chair memes required.You need the T3 hacker to do anything there (including unlock the way to Offices) and the Gravity Cube to travel far enough (bring splints because the loading trigger will make you count as starting the jump from where loading happened, not the bounce pad). Then to get to the Tarasque for Mycofields access, you take the teleport water pipe in one of the towers to Labs, behind the turret area.

Normal Leyak behavior is perfectly fine. Leyak becoming aggressive because you got too close to it THROUGH A WALL OR THE FLOOR is fucking bullshit though. It gets to phase through solids when it's in the aggressive state.
