Mass effect bros...we're going home
>>

This game doesn't have a third of the charm Mass Effect has. I'll pirate it but I don't expect much.
>>
>quest markets
Ubisoft was a disaster for open world games

Kinda hard to have charm, when we know fuck all about the game. They announced this shit way too early and went all in on side gimmick shit no one gave a fuck about

At this point I'm just really happy to have a few sci-fi RPGs to look forward to again
>>
Sadly there is a high risk that the game will be worse than even the worst Mass Effect.
>>
Hope I can change the MC. He looks like a faggot.

>we know fuck all about the game
They showed us gameplay, followers, aliens, a whole book, and multiple cinematics including a Secret Level episode and it's all meh.

I like the planet of talking crows

Exodus looks like one of those "role playing games" with no role playing, player freedom or character customization. So I doubt it.
>>
>>736358827
We know that 85% of characters are mystery meat.
>>
Still hard to believe bioware and EA fucked up so hard, mass effect easily had the potential to be considered one of the big names in sci-fi like star wars ect. The setting was pure gold
>>
>>736360286
There probably will be an option to customize MC, but I suspect all available options will look just as faggy.
>>
>>736358096
I hope it has chest high walls to piss off ME3troon.
>>
>>736360946
it's a cover shooter, yes

0 cute girls so far, my expectations are set extremly low for now
>>
>>736359361
Its just some random setting shit. If someone showed you random bits and pieces of mass effect you wouldnt care about it either.
>>
>>736362284
That's not true and you know it.
>>
>>736362284
i saw cover shooter, dodgeroll, and not-biotic attacks with animations i would expect out of a game like elex

We know the studio who is going to be making it, that is all you need to know. The VP of Archetype was the studio director for both Anthem and the onslaught (read: worst) expansion for swtor.

Mass Effect didn't seem charming until you had really gotten invested in it. It's one of the issues that plagues Mass Effect going forward, that fans always think they want what they already had, but most of its greatness came from things that felt kind of unfamiliar at first. Casey Hudson also defended ME2 saying that fans being angry at BioWare for not reprising the companions from ME1 were wrong because they think they know what they want, but the Suicide Mission squad were all new characters that people now love, after they've played 2, and wouldn't have gotten if all BioWare did was placate their stupid fanbase.

But that's all we ever see in a post ME3 world, because there's been a serious dumbing down of IQ in the fanbase that's arrived to Mass Effect after its completion compared to those who played the franchise when it was still developing.

You are not open minded enough to deserve games like Mass Effect imo.

It's a bit of both I think. Mass Effect was always popular, riding an established fanbase of Bioware RPGs, but it wasn't until ME2 that I really saw hype start to explode for the established characters and setting.

People are starved for character driven RPGs, and sci-fi games especially. But you can't get too excited for the characters and setting until you've actually seen how they're written.
