Does anybody have an argument vs. SupCom FAF being the de facto RTS design?

>A commander that's worth 20 tanks or 2 engies. Reinforces both turtling and rushing.
>Two types of resources. Energy can be built freely, and mass can be extracted from various points in your base and around the map. Mass points can be harvested infinitely. Mass extractor upgrades are up-to expensive (7-10 minute repay times from nothing to T3). This makes base resources really important and map resources really volatile.
>Techs. Are steady increases in power to match large increases in resources. Each tech only has a few units, which keeps unit compositions simple, but some units are important all through the game. SupCom has maybe the highest number of buildable units and buildings in the genre, and an amount of strategy that can't be found in other games. T1 spam can be ramped up extremely high. T2 benefits from increased range and power; ends up beating T1 after tradeoff time and catch-up time are met*. T3 is really powerful and can be game ending; are often submersible. T4 (experimentals) are sometimes really useful but often don't determine the outcome of the game.
>Available build types are land, sea, and air, ensuring high variance in strategy per map and playstyle.
>Maps range from really small to huge.

i think WARNO/eugen style games are the future for RTS games if we wish to revive the genre.

SupComs only fault is that it's old and needs the BAR pass on controls and QoL
They are not the same at all though, but very similar

No. But I want someone to make a modern Earth 21xx style game

I think it's technically fine, but I would call cheap secondary factories too easy for ramp up.

they're not RTS, they're RTT. They are not the same thing/
No basebuilding = not RTS
