They make everything illegal so that every citizen is technically a criminal at all times so they can detain anyone whenever they become too loud. When the bubble pops you guys are going to miss all those great AI games like uhhhhhhh
My company's Jeet CEO hired a bunch of AI engineers and proceeded to lay off entire departments. Then the AI turned out to be dumb as fuck and you had to constantly babysit it which just doubled the workload of the guys who were forced to use it. Then we had a data breach when the AI was fed company secrets for our manufacturing process and the AI apparently spit it out as an answer for our competitors lol. We all had a massive talking to by the CEO over teams to all sites about data protection and the VP behind the AI push got sacked.
>>736367802I think there’s gonna be a total industry crash pretty soon

>>736368565Sorry about that. I understand that can be frustrating. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
>>736369004Well we now have yearly training about how we aren't allowed to talk to AI models about company secrets. And the 45 minute long meeting in our break room where upper management bitched like children meant something happened with an AI learning something it shouldn't have.

>>736368767let me guess, jeet doubled down and hired more indian to "catch up with the rest"?
I hope all public usage of AI crashes and burns because chatbots and image generation are just accelerating stupidity the world over but it will always be there for companies to use to fuck people over. Lazy AI assets are a possibility for every game now for example.

>>736369291I don't think so. The AI engineers were never at our site but we noticed their accounts were quietly removed from all our corporate stuff like MS Teams and Outlook. The company also posted a ton of job listings for the departments they laid off so it might just be a big corporate backpedal. Which makes sense considering those AI engineer guys got hired on at baseline 6 digit salaries and the AI itself never increased productivity for the people forced to use it. Upper management still talks about AI and it being the future and what not but its been relegated to a neat toy the desk jockeys use to summarize emails.

My company provides free use of any AI model, and I frequently use Claude code via copilot to write unit tests which would have taken me days in five minutes. I also use it to summarize meetings I don't attend, and make documentation of old code nobody ever commented. I've also used it to debug set up issues and it just werks. All this anti AI tech people are either using old shitty models or are lying discord trannies trying to discredit AI

I stand behind AI being good for code and assets, the individual parts that make up a game. It's not good to try and do much larger things, like navigating a completely generated dream (such as the generated minecraft and doom), or DLSS 5. You're biting off more than you can chew going in those directions. And apparently everyone's going to smugly call this the "bubble popping" when companies obviously back off from going in those directions.

>>736375539I'll be honest with you, I haven't seen nearly the amount of low effort AI image generation as I did when ChatGPT first broke mainstream and showed off image generation. It still exists obviously and there's not pretending it doesn't, but there's a distinct difference between legitimate AI Slop (stuff that's not even useful for meme material) and looking at something that an artist with at least a semblance of artistic vision clearly produced and internally visualized themselves with the assistance of AI tools (even if it was just to build its foundation). It's just easy for people here and elsewhere where shitposting and having kneejerk anger/negative reactions to everything to lump everything together as shit.
