yeah i'm gonna have to agree with you. every time i think about playing this again, i think about the melee combat and the QTEs and it just craters my interest. i've been enjoying Toxic Commando because it's 99% shooting (which is what i want from a shooter).

The melee combat is literally the most entertaining part of this game. Remove it and it's just a generic TPS.

This game is only worth playing the main story through once or twice on easy just to enjoy a narrative experience, maybe even with a friend.

Its controls are so ass you never feel like a space marine though, every fight is just a series of hard stunlocks and the game doesn't really reward you for getting good at dodging and parrying based on the slow rate of new mission drops in co-op mode.
