Baldur's Gate 3 suffers from the terrible "witty" dialogue style that Joss Whedon popularized. The actual encounters were decent most of the time and fun enough for how dogshit 5th ed DnD is, but Larian games are the few RPGs where I just don't find myself talking to random NPCs for fun because I know it won't really be interesting to read.
