I bought this game last night hoping it would bring the series back to Transformed levels, but its not even close. It really just feels like a very cheap Mario Kart knock off. The presentation is an eye sore, it looks like the Wii's home menu. The soundtrack sounds like it was made by a Youtube "artist". Just noise made with cheap drum machines without any memorable melodies. The feedback from the tires on the road is even cheaper than Mario Kart. The graphics look bad, really bad. Why are people giving it such high reviews? Is it because its finally every bit as stupid as Mario Kart? The tracks are like Mario Karts, just wide dumb tracks and the only challenge in them are the road blocks.
Even for falseflags this is piss poor.
Yeah, because it's like Mario Kart in an era where people are upset with Mario Kart World for deviating too much from its formula, so it sits in the perfect opportunistic niche of being what people actually wanted the new Mario Kart to be.
The saving grace to the soundtrack is having hundreds of better songs from other games in the jukebox to replace it. Takahiro Kai gaining a foothold in Sonic "music" is yet another of Superstars' sins.
>>736378958Oh thank goodness. I haven't seen that option yet.
>>736378256You wrote an entire blog post to say absolutely nothing of substance.
>>736379028I think it's available at the start (Extras -> Jukebox), but the implementation's kind of ass and the song list is limited until you start unlocking them in time trials (every 3 A ranks unlocks more). I have around 80 songs on shuffle because you only get one Favorites playlist and it can't be set per track.
