Is Lightning's trilogy worth the time investment?

I don't think they're as bad as the internet says but yeah they certainly aren't good. As for what you ACTUALLY want to talk about I don't have your type of brain damage so a woman's armpits don't necessarily arouse me, I do have the other brain damage that makes me think fat bellies are hot however so there's that.
XIII is mediocre but XIII-2 and Lightning Returns are vastly better games, Lightning Returns is pretty unique for SE, Tri-Ace made it and they clearly wanted to make a Valkyrie Profile game.

>>736378491XIII is neat as long as you know what you're getting into and the fact you're still getting tutorials 20 hours in. Lightning Returns is genuinely underrated and a great game. XIII-2 is ass so it's unfortunate you need to play it to bridge both games.

You can tell they had a story to tell and a universe to explore with XIII whereas the sequel was "we have all this cut content and assets already made, let's conjure up some bullshit retcon time travel story where Lightning's now the bodyguard of a time goddess and the bad guy is some dude wearing spandex with a Soul Edge knockoff with a piercing so we have an excuse of a game".
