There was so much cool shit like entire areas and Colossi cut from the original due to hardware limitations and time constraints. Bluepoint's remake had the chance to really take advantage of the opportunity to not just remake this classic, but give it all the things it should've had but couldn't at the time of the original release.

Instead, we just got a 1 to 1 remake. Sometimes, a 1 to 1 is alright, but I like it when remakes take advantage of the opportunity at hand. Take the Resident Evil 4 remake for example, which mixed things around for the better, like Luis dying at the hands of Krauser, which was a really good death too. They also added an entirely new content and mechanics.

It's a shame that the chance to make a new, more complete, cooler telling of Shadow of the Colossus was just so underutilized. The original is amazing as it is, but a remixed remake wouldn't erase the original, so I'd have loved to see more done with everything they had at hand.

I'm not fussed, honestly, and my point isn't even that I need an entirely new game or whatever in that universe. I just would've loved to see this game itself brought to its full potential.

Yeah but SotC really does have a shit ton, there's entire concept art book sections of cool looking Colossi in their own, cut parts of the map that we never got. The monkey one (Saru) and the spider one come to mind, they would've been cool.

Picrel shows a bunch of them, but I believe there's far more than that.
