Shifting focus away from pseudo-resource management (that only works when you're a shitter) and lengthy levels (that were never properly implemented in Demon's and DS1 anyway) to enemy encounters was a GOD tier decision. Nobody dies to Nameless King in 2026 but people still have their buttholes blasted by Alonne knights.
