I need to get a controller for Steam and emulating old gamesIs the 8bitdo Ultimate good, or are there better ones?
Wait. For. The. Steam. Controller. Faggot.
>>736381721I use the Pro 3 for both the Switch and PC and I like it well enough.
>>736381721there are better ones but the ultimates are great price/value.I'm using the pro3 which is playstation type of form factor but thats just preference.for xbox layout flydigi vader is pretty high quality.
inb4 someone posts a controller made by a company with """hilarious"""" meme name and retards will repeat the same old stale memes and jokes
>thinly veiled marketing threadFor me it's mouse and keyboardhttps://www.corsair.com/ww/en
>>736381995the names do be funny tho
>>736381721I fucking hate my 8bitdo Pro 3, cheapest piece of shit I've used in awhile. Get a Dualsense or whatever Xbox controller you want. I like the Vader 5 pro.
>>736381808It's never coming
>>736381721I have one and it works great. Cheap too.
>>736381721I do not like the sticks on it at all
>>736381995But how am I supposed to hold a controller designed for King Kong?
>>736381721I have an Ultimate 2C one, and it works fine for the price.Just get something else if you intend to use them for fighting games because using the diagonals are a fucking nightmare to use.
>>736381721ultimate 2c is cheap as shit and it works
>>736381721Gamesir and 8BitDo are pretty much as good as you'll get the price in the under $100 range. The controllers that cost like $100+ deliver very diminishing returns as the under $100 controllers already give you good quality materials, TMR joysticks, the same customization software, etc.
>>736381721Best controller is the GameSir G7 Pro.
>>736381721Gamesir basically does the same general line up of features and more, regularly for around the same price range and with nowhere near the quality control issues for the most part so long as you like Xbox-shaped stuff. Hyperkin's improved in recent years but still make gimmick throwback controllers. FLYDIGI got themselves some of the high end market of basically being pro controllers without the need for pro pricing. It really depends on what you're looking for, but I'm gonna be honest, I don't trust 8bitdo for much but small budget stuff because each of my controllers I've had with them got issues fast or are NOT very durable if children and pets are around.
>>736381847>Pro 3>>736381916>pro3dont the magnetic buttons literally disintegrate? isnt the dpad made for midgets and infants?

>>736382951works on my machine.I heard something about yellow or green buttons being brittle because of some color properties but it comes with a set of black playstation like buttons too.
>>736381808I didn't see a release date, and I want a controller now >>736383107I bought the 8bitdo n64 controller for n64 emulation and I am happy with it>>736382578I think you are right, at least until Steam releases their controller
>>736381721I preferred nova 2 lite to ultimate 2c cause of the better triggers
>>736382951I got my pro 3 on release and the buttons are still exactly the same as day 1.
>>736382951I think it was specifically the SNES buttons with that issue.8Bitdo copies Nintendo's plastic for the d-pad, make of that what you will.
>>7363817218bitdo pro 2 is my fav most comfy too
>>736383813fuck off marketeer
>>736381808Can I get a qrd on why /v/ is so hyped for steam controller? Is it really that big of a deal compared to chink shit?
>>736386613no.it comes with meme track pads which are awful and thats the only thing that sets it apart.
>>736381808there's nothing special about it. chink controllers do everything the steam controller does
>>736381808Fuck youI waited for 5 months and Valve has been dead silentGot Ultimate 2 Wireless instead
>>736386613its marketing teams saar
