The dodge mechanic sucks ass depending on the environment and weapon.If the area is too narrow, you dodge and still remain in the attack area of an enemy, particularly Nemesis.If you carry a weapon that is slower, the dodge and subsequent recovery takes too long that it leaves completely open to a follow up attack, making the dodge a liability instead of an asset.In order to make the dodge work reliably you need open space and it often rolls the wrong way, like into a wall getting you hit anyways, instead of another direction where there is actual space to avoid attacks.It is also very linear in nature and at times feels like just a series of corridors instead of a city.It also feels like it pads things out by forcing you to go one way then back, then back the other way then back again.And unlike other REs where you unlock new paths to shorten retreading, this game really has none outside of one in the beginning and it only saves like 20 seconds.
