This game's rather mediocre if you didn't grow up with it

Back in 2003 this was the first time a lot of people saw a fully 3D Tales with that combat system, voiced skits, crazy amount of side content, branching affection scenes, two worlds twist, etc.Is it clunky now? Yeah. Are the dungeons obnoxious? Absolutely. Does the 30fps cap feel like ass? Of course.But “mediocre” is a stretch. The cast carries it hard, the OST still slaps, and it actually commits to its themes instead of soft-resetting character development every arc like half the newer entries.If you didn’t grow up with it you won’t feel the magic, sure. But that doesn’t make it mid, it just means you’re playing it 20 years late.

It's been localized several different times now through various ports like the original Steam release and the recent Remaster. I found Symphonia Chronicles (PS3) to be the least buggy one.
