All of the games since 6 have been either shit or meh. The franchise has never reached the same standard it had with the ps1 games and re4.

Actually I'd probably rank Five above Four if we're doing it that way. But it's besides the point. I don't consider them to be in the true spirit of Resident Evil, but they finally managed it with 9 by tempering the action with another scenario that is more true to the survival horror aspect.
