The trend I've noticed is that everyone who likes Star Fox Zero actually played it and everyone who hates it are scrubs like DSP.

I'll definitely have to get it when it gets re-released.

The main flaws are the gyro controls (they're not good, even if you eventually get used to their shittiness) and the fact that it's yet another reboot.
You are right in that the game LOOKS good out of context, which is the saddest part. Its biggest flaws are things that could have easily not been a problem. Zero was REALLY close to being good.
