No one's denying that. But it isn't totally divorced from its context. She's a combat robot so advanced, they made her beautiful just because they could do it without compromising on anything else. That creates an almost mythological sort of feeling around her, of a demigod with a divine task. That's well matched to the apocalyptic struggle between two inhuman forces. It's almost Buddhist in its character. Nominally, you'd think The First Descendant would have a similar feeling and themes. But the story isn't very deep at all. Humans and Aliens are at war. The Aliens are winning, they want the MacGuffin the humans have. The humans' ace in the hole against the aliens are superpowered women who all have the same build and all go into combat wearing almost nothing. They're not walking nuclear bombs with fine sculpture built around them as an expression of dominance over nature. Humans are on the back foot in TFD. They have no reason to build an army of cosplaying onlyfans girls with implanted asses and tits and cold-sculpted waists. It's just bald-facedly erotica for the sake of erotica that tried to market itself as a respectable and serious product. It manages to appeal to neither market as a result.
