And alien planet will probably have plants on it. Except for rock clinging lichen, a plant doesn't get more simple than a tall blade of grass so it's probably pretty safe any planet with complex life on it will have tall grass. Which means any predators on the track to sapience will probably walk upright to see over the grass. It will probably be an omnivore thst treats meat with fire since that diet is what accelerated our brain growth. You probably won't have like 5 arms and two heads because evolution is lazy and two arms, to legs, and one head is enough. The only things that might be different is how tall they are and if they are fur covered or not. Aliens are probably just space furries.

I don't need to have some human main character or some human sidekick that is narrating. Just tell a story that doesn't need humans. That would be awesome. I don't need someone to self insert into to relate to their struggles. Their struggles would be all the more interesting because they cand do things a human couldn't or would follow a different train of thought or something and that would be super interesting.
