ffs. Also, I'm not an 'unc;' I'm a 90s Kid. Please remember this.
>>
Genesis had the better version of a lot of games like Aladdin, Power Rangers, Desert Strike, Jurassic Park, Earthworm Jim
>>
Grew up with Nintendo at home.
Went to friend's homes for Genesis.
Didn't really have a preference, but the Genesis games felt more like a special occasion when I could play them.

>So, which were you growing up?
SNES kid
>Which had the most fond memories for you, and why?
SNES 'cause it was my entry point to the hobby. I didn't know anyone growing up that had a Genesis, but I remember being blown away by seeing store kiosk demos of Rocket Knight Adventures and Gunstar Heroes. And then I got obsessed with Super Metroid a year later. I fucking love 16-bit.
>>
SNES, but I played a lot of Genesis games at my cousins' house. snes was my favorite. The DKC games, Megaman X, Mario Allstars, World and Tetris Attack. I loved Sanic of course, but I just had more to play on SNES.

16-bit was peak, so that's unstable.

Capcom's Aladdin had better gameplay. I'll give the Genesis version credit for its cinematic style, but Capcom waa just a better developer. They were in their golden age so of course everything they made was superior.
>>

SNES had way too many classics for me
>mario games, LTTP, final fantasy, donkey kong, chrono trigger, super metroid, megaman X
And that's just off the top of my head
Genesis for me was basically just a sonic machine. And while I got a lot of hours and fun out of sonic 2 and 3, it didn't scratch what the SNES gave me
>>
>>736409363
I was snes growing up. I prefer genesis now
>>
>>736409363
i had both cuz i didnt grow up poor and my parents loved me

>Genesis for me was basically just a sonic machine
you need to play more games then, that's not the genesis fault you're a casual
>>
>>736409363
Sega but my best friend had a bigger game collection for SNES. So, Spider mam, Power Rangers, Zelda etc hold more memories for me.

I was a kid that went to garage sales with my dad
My choices were limited to what I found at the time

>>
Had a Genesis, neighbors had a SNES they never wanted to play no matter how much I asked.

>>736411082
I'm 31
The consoles didn't stop existing when Saturn and Playstation released
>>
>>736409363
Absolutely snes. I didn't know anyone who had genesis. Hell, I dint think I even knew what a genesis was. I dont if it was an American thing or what but I never saw one back in the day
>>
>>736411149
Well yeah because you had Mega Drive instead
>>
>>736411249
Eh? No, I'm saying I'm American and I'm not sure if that's what contributed to me never seeing one
>>
>>736411476
Well then you're lying, Genesis outsold SNES by nearly double for most of their coexistence

Had them both.

SNES: Square Soft, Nintendo, Konami, Capcom, Rare and a bunch of others.
Genesis: Sega, Technosoft, Treasure, Konami, EA, and a bunch of other publishers. I also had the Sega CD.

My fondest memories were owning both systems. To be honest.. outside of the heavy hitters like Konami, and Capcom and Suqresoft. I feel like the Genesis had the better third party publishers. The SNES Might have more 'A+'s games. But once you get into the B tier stuff, the Genesis has a more robust library in many respects. First party was Sega = visceral arcade action. SNES = whimsy platformers and RPG's. I found myself playing the Genesis more.

okay boomer

>>736409363
Had a Mega Drive when I was very little, like 5 year old, honestly too young to appreciate most games, so I pretty much only played the first two stages of Sonic and assorted Disney/WB licensed crap.
SNES was the first console I could actually enjoy and play a lot, even if I was still a child and didn't know about Super Metroid and such.
In the 00s I first emulated a lot of games I missed out on both consoles.
>>
>>736409363
both, DKC and Castlevania on the SNES. Lemmings and Jeopardy on the Genesis.
>>
Megadrive, at least in Spain.
