Perhaps they should have made you activate some ancient machine that makes the map right in front of you, with like a beam coming from the sky, implying its gathering current data for said map.

isn't this just stupid that game does not allow you to do puzzles in different than one specific way? why was i supposed to climb and use weight of my character to pull it down at it instead of using axiom force to do it? you can pull fucking trees with axiom force to shoot yourself into sky, you're telling me some stone plates are too havy for axiom force? i try to like this game, but it pisses me off that you can't do things in your own way despite it being 100% logical

For bloodstone you head up all the way to crimson desert, right to the left of Trader's Expanse is a route that has 4 bloodstones, 5 azurites some gold copper scolecite few feet away from each other, and that's only one part of the road i've discovered
