The obsession with 100+ hours of garbage padding has completely ruined video games. It's not only unsustainable, but not even a good idea in the first place. One of the most heavily marketed and successful games of 1994 is typically beaten in 4 hours on a first time through, yet it's endlessly replayable and actually enjoyable in a way that open world garbage never will be. Replay value is king, if something isn't worth playing twice then it isn't worth anything at all.
