How would you fix this franchise?
>>
Get it away from Ubisoft for starters
>>
It has been shit since 3 and the shills and thirdworlders can go fuck themselves
>>
>>736413723
>Drop the entire animus angle.
>Fewer or no cutscenes.
>More assassinations, procedural assassinations, full freedom on carrying them out.
>Strategic control map.
>More stuff to do with the ship.
Basically turn it into Shadow of Mordor with the magic Tolkien ring shit replaced with sailing.
>>
Stop milking it already and end the modern day story.
>>
Hire a solid writer and design an ezio/desmond 2.0 that we'll play with for a few titles. These new protagonists are absolutely ass and not memorable at all
>>
public domain it
>>
Make an exciting, character-driven game about working as an assassin in a historical setting again, instead of these open world fantasy RPGs with a wrong logo that they've been churning out for the past decade.
>>
>>736413723
by making Unity 2 with real stealth
and separating RPG games
and making one with fantasy creatures instead of leaving that shit for DLC
>>
>>736413904
>asscreed 3 times
>play 1st, 2nd
>fun games, i liked ezio but sci plot is terrible despite me digging conspiracy theories
>meet this guy in uni at that time
>pretty normalfag richkid skater that run with uni raperfags
>someone recommends him asscreed series
>he basicly get 100% invested in it and becomes tinfoil that is fully invested into shitty writing of ascreed. He behaves almost like he got handed mosad secret kenedy assasination documents.
Was funny at first, then I started to think hes was a schizo.
>>
>>736413723
Just let it die.
>>
>>736413723
Finish Ezio trilogy and move on.
>>
I honestly just want 1 but with a bit more polish. I love how going after targets had optional side material to make the actual assassination easier.
Make the guy about the actual fucking assassinations and how you get in/out, and just remove the filler shite 1 had.
And make the combat a last resort, not easy counter spam.
>>
>>736413723
Should have ended over a decade ago.
>>
>>736413723
Throw out all the terrible ideas every sequel stapled on and focus on its original vision: highly immersive adventure game with no hud or map.
Or just make pirate game 2
>>
FEWER TOWERS HOLY SHIT
>Altair please climb 225 towers to get an eagle's eye view of italy
>Altair please climb 240 towers to get an eagle's eye view of grenata
>Altair please climb 50 towers to get an eagle's eye view of the vatican
JUST
STOP
>>
Honestly they should just drop the name and create a separate franchise for the history fantasy shit since it doesn't even feel like AC.
>>
>>736413723
Reboot it. Ezio trilogy with Altair DLC. Bring back the multiplayer mode from Brotherhood and play up the asymmetrical multiplayer angle. Dump the formulaic ubislop format for a tighter plot driven history porn that doesn't meander to fit in collectibles and horse armor bullshit.
Ubisoft has so much valuable IP and they would rather sit on their hands and let it rot than market it competently. Insane French work ethic on display.
>>
>>736418431
Also on the point of history porn of course play up the alternate history, conspiracy theory angles. The original games were chock full of that shit and they just dropped it at some point when it became more popular than ever. National treasure tier adventures with sci-fi aliens is such an easy humongous target and yet they manage to miss over and over again it has to be deliberate at this point.
>>
It's so weird how the games switched from hard scifi to fantasy with a bit of scifi.
>>
>>736418561
The early games dropped too many hard redpills, "they" had to shut it down.

And I mean the jews, the story was practically calling them out directly while disguising them as "templars"
>>
>>736413723
Make the fighting harder so the game is an actual stealth game at least at the start.

Delete >50% of the franchise and try again (bug good this time )
>>
I would remember that it sells a fantasy. Not a narrative and not even a gameplay experience.
Asscreed is when you run on rooftops, swoop down, kill and disappear into the crowd.
Asscreed is the hunt. It's freedom, it's executing the plan, mastering the urban, wearing a hood.

It never needed videogame bits and bobs or a story at all. Both devs and players led each other astray.

make an Assassins Creed 3/Unity/Rogue crossover game where you can play as both Connor and Arno working to kill Shay from AC Rogue. They can even structure it kind of like resident evil 9 where half the missions are Arno stealth sandbox gameplay and the other half is Connor combat and cinematic parkour challenges.

It would be the easiest nostalgia bait ever laid and also decent chances of it being an actually good game as long as they dont get too ambitious. Easy GOTY contender
>>
Bring back the cancelled game where you are a former slave hunting down KKK members, give it a heavy emphasis on stealth and MGSV-level player freedom.
>>
>>736413723
Would stop releasing new titles post AC3.
Black Flag was the downfall of the franchise.
>>
>>736413723
Stop letting gays and trannies write them

>Setting
Roman Empire in the years running up to the death of Julius Caesar. You play the son of a murdered Centurion who rebuilds his family-and in doing so, an Assassins Guild-in Rome.

Your base of operations is a shitty home in the city, which gradually gets bigger+better as the plot progresses. Essentially you slowly go from shadowy cutthroat to influential noble known for intrigue as you work to redeem your family name.
>Gameplay
Old style, improved; no bloated healthbars or RPG-esque combat. Bam Ham combat but harder+with combos that allow for certain abilities that bypass things like shields or heavy armour more effectively. you can "level up" and there is a "skill tree" but its mostly related to your preferred weapon (AC2 style with daggers, hidden blade, short swords, hammers, etc).

There's an element of Management as you slowly build your estate and generate income; your personal estate will grow and so too will the area of the city you control. There's a Senate system which mostly just reflects how powerful your House has become-the intention being for you to be on the brink of seizing power yourself from the shadows, only to instead back a plot to kill Caesar and retain your protected status.
>>736413863
>Drop the entire animus angle.
No. Keep it but in the style of AC1; brief, mysterious, increasingly sinister but with no expositionary value. Just a very, very slowly unfolding weird fucked up mystery.
>>
>>736419793
You know facial animations are good when you show the person not speaking.
>>
>>736413723
You can't
Every single ass creed sucks
>>
>>736413723
Remove 2s "sequels". Remove 3 and everything after it.
Give it to developers who arent retarded.
3 was so bad ive neber bought anything else from Ubisoft and this choice gets justified every time they release a game
>>
Anytime in Rome between 50BC and 200AD, actual rome, with slums, no kitchens, no police, gangs everywhere paid by politians to create chaos.

I would also prefer if they start of scratch, none of that shitty dialogue, 0 weight npc's they have. I want Fallout physics, where it feels like you actually used a fucking sword to dismember their shi.
It doesn't help they hire no experience devs that they pay below market value.
>>
>>736413723
>Remove the RPG combat entirely. Assassinations one-shot no matter your level and combat is based around the HP bar system Shadows has but with higher tier enemies getting more armor.
>Remove any and all dialogue choices. That's not how the Animus works. Tell everyone who liked it to piss off and find another series because it's not Assassin's Creed.
>Continue iterating on the stealth system of Shadows and force Master Assassin to be the default stealth difficulty.
>Bring back social stealth and not the Valhalla type.
>Stop pussyfooting and commit to a Modern Day MC that's not Layla.
>Maps do not get bigger than a city. Remove country maps entirely as they have been nothing but bloat and a downside on the series with only Origins even remotely doing it well.
>Do what Shadows was doing with the targets where you have individual groups you can hunt down outside of the main group instead of what Origins through Valhalla were doing. The only difference being you lower the amount of targets because as it was like 40% or so of the targets in Shadows were complete filler.
>Remove damage cancelling on falls. There is no reason you should be able to survive a jump off of a cathedral just because you curled up into a ball. It's been stupid since they added that in Valhalla.
>Make everyone play like Naoe on Nightmare where you're vulnerable in combat but can turn it to your favor if you use the right tools or playstyle.
>Stop the focus on the fantasy aspects immediately as they are completely taking away from the sci-fi nature of the series and muddying the waters as we now have to regularly figure out which of the Isu we are staring at are which ones through deductive reasoning since they never come out and say it and figure out what in the world is even going on to the point of Dawn of Ragnarok being a confusing mess due to the fantasy obfuscation.
>Focus more on the Templar/Assassin ideological conflict, stop making the OotA and Templars cartoonish.
>>
>>736413723
I'll tell you, but first I have to see if my ASN has finally been unbanned.
>>
>>736413723
they should make it so the animus can also see the future so you could live your descendants' memories in the future and the plot should be you gathering intel about what your faction should do in the present to achieve desired future (yes the future can change)
>>
>>736413723
>new Desmond like character
>german
>new trilogy taking place during the German Wars of Unification
>>
Remember all the fake (and past) games "teased" in AC Unity?

Which would you want to play?
>Hell in Hibernia (Irish War of Independence)
>Jazz Age Junkies (Jazz Age, obviously)
>The Bladed Cross (Constantine I era Rome)
I think the rest are either already games or have since become games.
>>
>>736421613
Second one seems a bit too modern. I don't think we should go past WW1 for a full game. So I pick option three.
>>
>>736421712
>I don't think we should go past WW1 for a full game.
We should just to see how they handle it since ctOS isn't a thing yet and Abstergo isn't formally a thing until the 1920s if I remember right so the Templars are still sort of scattered.
>>
>>736413723
I would set up a new trilogy or tetralogy with a new modern day protagonist. In release order, the settings would be:
>expanded remake of Assassin's Creed 1
>second French intervention in Mexico
>Weimar and Nazi Germany, with occupied East/West Berlin expansion
>modern day (optional)
As to how the games would play:
>parkour very close to the first game with some enhancements to get more control and more variety in parkour objects such as tiny footholds and handholds that can be used for parkour sequences, but cannot be held onto due to their size
>heavy emphasis on social stealth and NPC interactions
>less emphasis on traditional stealth (no crouching, hiding in tall grass, or gadgets), but things like shadows and hiding with parkour (e.g. Splinter Cell split jump) and guards having believable behavior (noticing if a patrol is missing after a certain period of time, not necessarily noticing your footsteps and turning around if they expect a patrol to be making rounds)
>no "Synchronize Viewpoint"
I would also do a multiplayer PvP spinoff and charge no more than $40 for it. It would include various settings used by the franchise and then some unused ones like the ones teased in >>736421613.
>>
>>736423879
You guys really need to remember how bad the multiplayer got past Brotherhood. Contested kills made most actual attempts at killing someone a loss on your end because they could just contest it, rooftop runners were permanent because they nerfed gun cooldowns, they designed maps around triggering high profile very easily or having enormous sight lines that hiding was almost impossible (The frozen ship in AC3 is an example), and people only played it like a stealth game in Manhunt. Even in that game mode the attackers almost always just ran at you in high profile to make any sort of high point kills impossible, to stagger you, and to scatter the NPCs.

It should stay dead, they ruined it with Revelation and then spent another two games making it even worse nerfing every possible way to stealth kill stuff while pandering to rooftop runners.
>>
>>736423607
NTA but from a gameplay standpoint an AC game in a world where automatic weaponry exists is a bit of a meme. The era were bolt action rifles and so on were the main firearms you'd come across is probably the upper limit.
