>you can only select 12 units at a time
was this a positive or a negative

gud

Only being able to select one unit would force even more micro

Obviously the solution to the online rts player base problem is to have the game calculate a handicap based on the difference between skill levels that restricts how many units at a time the better player can select.
>>
Good because who wants to manage 6 million units
>>
>>736415715
Me, a faf player.
>>
>>736415760
Best we can do is 1000.
>>
>>736414664
you don't know about hot keys?
>>
>>736414664
>>736415821
you can manage 10 groups of 12 actually. op is a fucking newb
>>
>>736415845
Not even the pros do that. Have you tried to hit 7a8a9a0a with just your left hand quickly? Pretty hard, right? I have long hands and it's still difficult for me. Usually they'll only have units on the first few control groups and the others will be for buildings and spellcasters.

Nigga please, people buy tiny ass keyboards just to do that shit better.
>>
>>736416020
I have a logitech g600. why would I use my keyboard?
>>
>>736415803
I know, but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it.

Retvrn to Dvne II.
>>
>>736416389
The other day I was wondering how the pro scene would react to some guy hooking up some foot controls to do shit like that.
>>
>>736414664
I've been playing that age of mythology and am I retarded or is there no button to choose a whole bunch of different units but have them move at their own speed instead of the slowest in the group?
>>
>>736414664
Never had a problem with it in the campaign (the only game mode that matters)
>>
>>736416446
I bet they would shit their pants and have a melt down
>>
>>736416446
Vangelis could play a whole orchestra with his studio set-up, surely rts players could sort something out.
>>
>>736416460
you should play the age of empires games
>>
>>736416494
Probably. I think it's different than your usual mechanical assistance though. I'd like to see the age of gamers actually using their feet for competitive advantages. We haven't gone far enough.

>>736416529

haven't we thought?

Until we have full sensory deprivation and his nostrils are hooked up to a scent generator, fuck no.

If I can control 2 cursors why shouldn't I be permitted to do so?

That's the reason why protoss players bitch so much about SC2. Their core advantage in SC1 was that they had fewer, better units at T1 and winning against the other races' T1 by default made them feel powerful. The game was "balanced" by Zerg and Terran T2. In SC2 you can get the same if not more value out of 50 marines or 100 zerglings as 25 zealots with no control limitations, and this pisses off Protossfags who think they're entitled to their undisputed power in SC1.

You can select my unit if you want.
>>
>you wanna piece of me bo-you wanna piece of-you wanna piss-
>>
>>736416713
I didn't even remember there being a unit limit... But then again, the was I going to do with that many units when making just one of them attack one enemy required 3 clicks minimum?
>>
>>736422781
You could keep ordering from the Starport if I remember correctly
You just couldn't build anything after 25 units

I liked it as it enforced learning hotkeys, which i thought were really cool when i played this shit when i was 7 or so. I thought hotkeys were like some hacker term and it made me feel like a cool hacker man. I just played the fastest ever ffas with the one mineral ore, and sunken td, man that shit was fun idk what i was doing or if i was playing it right but it made me feel like an explorer of sorts as opposed to every game nowadays being streamlined for the masses and being gay and "balanced" like this nigger wants>>736415686
