My 3rd attempt to like this game but i just cant

Game has really nice graphics and music but i just cant force myself to push through this fake and gay world, does it get better after the fort joy?

all games are like this, and DOS1 was even worse, but the locations in 2 still somewhat makes sense.
i have also heard that Larian wanted to make all locations interconnected instead of doing levels

nothing we can do about this, it's Larian's trademark

not really needed, just looting the dungeons is enough to have money, also crafting from the things you get
what's more important is doing most of the combat in each map, otherwise the late game will be difficult

optimal, but not needed, i played the game where i skipped some combat and didn't kill everyone and i was still able to beat it

The best level is probably the next one, as it showcases all the skills and enemies. 3rd map/level is barebones and 4th is good, but at that point you just sort of want to get over the game.

Sure in a technical sense, but that's a disingenuous point. There are obviously degrees to this.

There are degrees, sure, but Fort Joy feels worse than it actually is because it’s the tutorial island and every encounter is basically screaming “LOOK AT THIS SYSTEM.”

Later acts tone down the carnival vibe a bit and the stakes feel less “haha wacky source shenanigans” and more grounded in actual faction conflict. Driftwood especially feels more like a real place instead of a sandbox full of XP piñatas.

That said if the tone is what’s killing it for you, it never fully drops the Larian quirk. You’re still going to have possessed scarecrows having monologues and animals with sidequests. The game takes itself seriously in plot beats but the worldbuilding is always kinda tongue-in-cheek.

If after 3 attempts you’re still bouncing off Fort Joy, you probably just don’t like Larian’s style. Nothing wrong with that. The combat sandbox either carries it for you or it doesn’t.

Fort Joy was the strongest part of the game, this game might just not be for you. I personally loved it.

Same reason why I never been able to play Larian games. I want game with good story, not reddit "humor".
Also, for some reason my GF loved it. But she also loved games like Witcher 3 and other onions AAA shit.

Huh? What gave you that idea? Picking up everything sounds like a huge waste of time that only a retard would think of doing. I never stole anything.
