Are there any other beat em ups that have simulated players or CPU allies? I really like that in games, I wouldn't say star allies is a beat em up but there is something about assembling a team and doing fun stuff that really draws me in. Also Dragon's Crown thread.

Guardian Heroes does this thing where if you're playing on single player, you get an invincible skeleton giganigga that fights with you.
You can issue orders to the skeleton and some of the branching paths also give you additional NPC allies that join in. It depends on the area.
Be warned the game is kind of busted balance-wise and the best strategy is to just let the skeleton nigga solo half of the game. In some boss fights you will not be able to do jack shit except run away.
