Looking back now it’s funny how Melee ended up having the most robust set of clones despite the rushed development at the time. Melee Clones had noticeably different stats and properties to attacks compared to their originals, all while while the clones were the biggest complant of Melee. Ultimate’s Echoes are both hit and miss. Heck even fucking Luigi in 64 had a semblance of difference from Mario and this was before Luigi’s Mansion too.
