Never played GW1. What am I in for? I tried GW2 and got bored 20 hours in.
if you thought gw2 is boring then enjoy your newfound boredom
Cool MMO idea with tank controls. Boomer game.
Fun skill and build system, but in the context of a meta that has long since been solved. Combat design that is fundamentally solid, but with a lot of untapped potential in PvE. There's a lot to like about the game, but the flaws are there. A lot of content has very flat pacing, the game is mostly easy with occasional difficulty spikes that assrape you out of nowhere, which can be really annoying if it wipes out the last 20-30 minutes worth of progress. Some genuine jank like failing quests because NPC AI bugged out. Extremely soulful soundtrack.IMO avoid looking up build guides, play around with different skills yourself, at least for your first playthrough. Enemies use the same skills as the player, read the tooltips of their skills if you are dying, so that you can understand how you're getting killed. The game has 5billion debuff skills, which vary between "lose 0.5%hp per second for 6 seconds" to "the next time you press a button, Colin Johanson will put a hit out on you and your whole family," so it's useful to know what you're dealing with. You can fully respec in town infinity times, so you can't mess up your character by building wrong or anything.
>>736435423GW1 is probably fucking garbage unless you have friends to play coop with, plus, this game barely can be considered an MMO when the only place where there are people around is the city, and once you exit it, you're on your own or with the people on your team.
>>736435423you will wish you had keysa lot of keysand money to buy keys
>>736437000>this game barely can be considered an MMObecause it's not an mmothe absolute waste of trips on this faggot
>>736435423Game where the PvE is heavily carried by the freedom offered by the skill system. Don't go into it expecting a proper MMO. You're just doing some campaigns that easily could have been reworked into a single player game, recruiting players or AI party members from the various towns scattered throughout the world. The best way to enjoy this is to ignore all guides unless stuck and focus on experimenting.Guild vs Guild PvP is the true highlight but lack of support and extremely high skill floor has lead to it being centered around discord.
