I bought a 9070 XT back in January but I'm so terrified that I'll fuck up somewhere and fry my rig parts that it's just been chilling in a closet for the past three months

I got a 9070XT the day it came out (Red Devil) and never had a single issue with it.

>>736447103It's not that bad, the only thing I had trouble with was unlocking the latch my 2070 was connected to on my motherboard, then closing it again afterwards. I felt I needed a little too much force. Also, it's a heavy card so you might want one of those stands to hold it up.
