Can Metroid recover after the disaster that was Prime 4? Or is it fucked?
+1 shit zss threads
>>736448006Prime 4 wasn't a disaster. Other M and Federation Force were disasters.
>>736448006Depends on whether or not Nintendo develops it in house, because clearly retroware isn't gonna be allowed anywhere near it ever again.
>>736448006>Tekuho
>>736449925Federation Force is good actually
>>736450465>cute little basedmedabots
>>736450789They need to remake it for Switch 2 with Metroid Prime 4 graphics and working online.
>>736450097Metroid Prime 4 was a flub for two reasons:1. Due to time constraints and talent concerns, the devs couldn't throw away wholesale the work done by Bandai-Namco, so they basically had to Frankenstein their work to somebody else's.2. Above talent concerns; the company essentially restructured, again, and did so in the interest of recruiting new staff to make Prime games. Said talent was built up almost from scratch during extensive hiring rounds, and still, a great deal of outsourcing was necessary for the scale of the project. Some video essayist Youtube nerd is probably going to have a field day and if and when more details surrounding the development cycle come to light because it sounds like a clusterfuck. But, given that upon taking the Prime 4 project, Retro started recruiting staff for the express purpose of development on Prime, I doubt they're done. ONE more is probably in the tank.
>>736449925Federation force wasn't even that bad, it was just underwhelming and not what the series needed at the timeI'd play federation force with friends over prime 4
>>736452301He's based.
I'm sad that we keep having Metroid threads but they never survive past a couple dozen replies tops. We used to have Super FUCKING Metroid threads nigh-ritualistically that would stay on the catalog for ages. Is there just nothing divisive enough to spawn the engagement bait-tier discussion that carries threads now? "Prime 4 sucks and is a flop" yeah we know. Reception of Dread seems kinda split, it's critically lauded and generally well liked with high sales, but some people vocally dislike it too. Argue about that.
>>736448006What would be the optimal way to design Samus inside the suit? I can't visualize how does she fit inside without breaking her bones.
Only 2D Metroid mattered. Mercury Steam will save public perception.
>>7364480063D metroid? Fuck no. Dread ensured that we'll get another 2D entry though. In classic Nintendo fashion it'll just be so many years later that even if they get Mercury Steam to do it again most of that dev team will have been replaced.
>>736454181She turns into energy when inside the morph ball so maybe it's something similar. Either she completely turns into energy or only partially so her arms and legs and other joints are separated from her body so they don't get dislocated by the suit having different proportions.
How does the Power Suit’s beam function even work for Samus to be unable to use the Ice Beam when she turns Metroid?
